But that does not mean the overclock is stable.
Overclock stable = passing several different stresstests at great lengths
Overclock stable != not having crashed yet while doing mundane tasks.
You can't come and redefine the terminology used for overclocking, because A) it'd be wrong, and B) it's confusing.
Epic link, let's take a look at the game benchmarks.
Fallout 3 = 6 fps difference, won't notice at all
L4Dead = 3 fps difference, won't notice at all
Far Cry 2 = 1,5 fps difference, won't notice at all
Crysis Warhead = 2500K actually WINS by 1 fps
Starcraft 2 = 2500K WINS by 2 fps
WoW = 2500K WINS by 1 fps
Seriously, it's completely useless to waste extra 75$ on i7. Who cares if the CPU can keep up with 990X? 990X is not needed either for gaming. If someone is building a PC with a certain budget, it's most retarded thing ever to waste the money on 2500K -> 2600K upgrade.
Disable HT? Why the hell would you want to pay extra 75$ (mostly for the HT) just to disable it and gain extra 100MHz max OC which is not noticable anywhere par superPI and other useless nonsense?

No it isn't. LGA 2011 is not LGA 1155's replacement by any means. Ivybridge is Sandybridge's and Sandybridge-E's replacement. LGA 2011 is Intel's Enthusiast platform while LGA 1155 is their mainstream platform. They will coexist until 2013 both receiving Ivybridge processors.
There's no fps limit for human eye, it's complete bullshit and I don't know why people keep spreading that crap on the internetz.
2600K won't be replaced soon, no. But neither will 2500K. They both will last just as long in a gaming rig, which pretty much nullifies your point. 2600K has it's uses and it is superior choice for certain kind of rigs, but not for gaming rig and expecially not when there's a 1300$ budget.

AMD Athlon II ftw imo
HI OP LOOK WHAT THIS THREAD HAS BECOME OMG
Your build looks good, but why the mix of newegg and amazon? if you're in the US, get everything through newegg, if you're outside the us (europe) then amazon is probably the better bet.
get rid of the USB wireless thing. get a pci-card wireless adapter. usb sucks, i went through 3 before i bought a pci one and i would never buy another usb one
