Hopefully by everyday use, you mean browsing facebook, and chatting on MSN....becuase you sure won't be able to do any gaming on either of them.

Neither of them are good value for money either....
My Acer Aspire 5738Z cost about the same, and appart from the graphics card (mine has integrated intel graphics; Intel GMA 4500M) is much better than those two.... and mines nearly 2years old.

Out of the two you linked i'd probably go with the:
eMachines by Acer E640 Triple Core 250GB 15.6 Inch Laptop.
