    New computer difficulties

    hello!

I literally just got this new system but im having an issue with the level of graphics being displayed. All my system information is in my signature. I log onto WoW for the first time, and the first thing i notice is that my FPS is maxing at 15-20 FPS. My computer recognizes both my GTX card and my integrated graphics card. I am wondering if WoW is using the integrated card for some reason.
I am not very tech savvy, but with this system i anticipated slightly better results.

Have you plugged in your monitor-cable in the graphics-card and not the on-board-video? (seeing as you have Z68)

Have you remembered to update drivers? Plugged the 6/8pins into the GPU and made sure it sits secure?

There is no Optimus on that board since the iGPU has no video outputs. None of Gigabyte's current Z68s have any HDMI/DVI or VGA outputs like others. So this means the iGPU is always the secondary GPU.

    * The DVI-D port does not support D-Sub connection by adapter.
1 x HDMI port, supporting a maximum resolution of 1920x1200

    ok, so, an update....
apparently i am a lot newer than i thought.
i put my monitor cable into the motherboard slot instead of directly into the graphics card slot.

    ...

    durp.

im getting like 150-200 fps in SW now.
    crisis averted?
