I know I'm happy with my Zalman ZM-STG2 TIM. That stuff worked wonders.

As far as TIM, I <3 me Innovative Cooling Diamond Paste. I used it over AS5 on the last few builds I did for others, and while it is a bit of a pain to work with compared to AS5 and other pastes (it's a much thicker compound, to the point where I let the tube sit in some pretty warm water to help it thin out a bit), it worked awesome.

It's an older chip, but it's served me well for a long time now. I've had this thing at this speed for pretty much it's entire lifetime.

    Name: Zxian
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 (Yorkfield)
    Clock: 3.4GHz (400MHzx8.5)
Voltage: 1.225 V in BIOS (1.184V at load due to Vdroop)
Cooler: Prolimatech Megahalems cooler w/ Scythe Slipstream 800RPM

To add to the awesome, my computer is essentially silent. You can hear it, but pretty much anything you do (including breathing loudly) makes the system completely inaudible.

I had this chip up to 3.6GHz at one point, but that was with an Ultra-120 cooler, and required me to put a little more voltage into my RAM than I was comfortable with in order to keep the memory stable.

Alright could a mod please update OP with the below shit
Also gave me a chance to check out ALL the links (broken or not), name(s) fixed, voltages and coolers added. Some stuff needs clarification like coolers.
Obviously one of the biggest problems was voltages - go by what they entered in BIOS or by what CPU-Z is showing? Obviously CPU-Z can be a MILE off due to it's own limitations and the way LLC/Phases behave while under load, so my priority was Bios voltage (if they were kind enough to specifically say that) > stated voltage (lets hope they were talking about BIOS voltage) > CPU-Z voltage.

The names and ranks have also been re-arranged because since there were so many people at the same frequencies, the only way to differentiate their ranks was vcore - i.e. who's got the better chip.

See if you can stabilize your OC at lower volts to gain ranks, heat up the competition (see what I did there)! I'm looking at those 3 people tied with their Phenoms II's, get to work peeps

Please do tell if your detail(s) are wrong or would like them updated!

And it would be really nice if people specified what they entered in BIOS for their vCore, not what CPU-Z is showing so I don't have to keep rounding retarded volts like 1.318914 or end up with people gaining unfair ranks. I think there's already cases of that in the below list, although I've tried to keep the rounding as fair and minimal as possible.

    Thanks

How do I post everything the script/etc tags intact? Culadin can't copy the links/tags/etc.

Updated. If I can make a suggestion though, create a new thread Xuvial with you as the OP. Then I will merge this existing thread with your new one, which should in turn leave you as the new OP and able to edit as you please without the hassle of mods.

If you opt for the new thread send me a PM to let me know.

Cooled with a Vapor Compression Cooling , u can see the cpu temp in the right bottom corner (-39°C).

But this CPU was special at all cause it's a E0 Engineering Sample ^^ very rare

the 600mhz DDRII Ram is nice too

I'm done updating this thread, btw. I was hardly interested in updating speeds. Now we're going to include voltages and coolers. Including voltages is useless without including LLC levels. Including voltages is also useless with 1 minute "stress" tests.

Comes down to a time investment. If you want to invest the time, which you have shown, then by all means lets make this happen. Create a new thread with you as the OP, copy / paste the info in and I will merge the threads for ya.

To be honest, I think we need to change up the requirements a little. Eight minutes of prime95 doesn't mean shit for stability.
In my own defense, I'd ran Prime for 12 hours before having any idea this thread existed. I ran it for the screenshot more to verify operating temps were not outrageous while under a load.

OC rank threads on OCN require at least some minimal form of stress testing. Most are 6+ hours of Prime. I'm in a 12+ hour "club" myself. Max clocking a chip to last 15 seconds in Prime is way different than an actual stable OC.

I was essentially calling out the validity of the thread, rather than any individual person or group of people.

What is the stress test you want us to post and how long I will do this tonight. I usually stress test with 1344 and 1792 custom blend with 90-95% memory load, or the small/large FFT?

so this is my current clock:

its not my highest obviously, but what i like about it is the lack of thermal load, came home from work today after letting my computer fold smp12 for over 18 hours, cpu temp was 35c

I'm not going to dictate a stress test. Had I started the thread in the first place, maybe I would, but this wasn't my baby. I'm just not participating any farther until some kind of stability proof is implimented. I had originally stated that I thought keeping the list was dumb in the first place with no verification of stability. I decided to step aside when voltages and heatsinks were added to the list. Speed, voltage, and cooling mean nothing without some proof of stability and (at minimum) the LLC setting used, as well as using load voltage only, rather than some using BIOS setting and others using load voltages.

If I were to suggest a sufficient stress test, I'd say somewhere between 4 and 8 hours of Prime95 Blend at max memory (small/large FFTs don't stress the IMC as well) for Sandy Bridge and 10-25 IBT passes for AMD or pre-Sandy Bridge Intels.
