    New graphic card

    Hello!

Yesterday my graphic card(nvidia gts 8800, 4 years old) just broke.

Now i need a new one to play WoW. I dont want to buy the best, because i want to do this when i buy a complete new computer.

Any suggestions for a cheap(~50€) graphics card which is as good or better as the old one?

    My desktop-PC:

    Motherboard : P5N32-E SLI
    CPU : Intel Core 2 DUO E6400, 2x 2,13 GHz, S775 boxed
    Memory : 2x Kingston Hyper X 1024MB, Pc2-6400, non ECC, unbuffered
    PCI-E ASUS Extreme N8800 GTS/HTDP, 640 MB

    Thank you!

When are you getting your new machine?

It wouldn't be too difficult to buy a half decent one now (last maybe 2years) and put it in your new machine when you get it.
    I don't think you'll get a better card than the 8800 for 50 eur

    HD5670.
It's only about ~20-30% faster than an 8800GT but it's DX11 capable and fits your budget. Your current system is fairly outdated (even for WoW) and an HD5670 should do a decent job till you build your new system

But...how do i know that the HD5670 ist ~20-30% faster then the 8800GT?
What numbers do i have to compare?

I couldn't find a way to do a direct comparision, the closest I could get was HD5670 vs 9800GT (slightly improved 8800GT).
    See here: http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/A...D_5670/29.html

On second thought, the performance boost might be more like 10% considering a 9800GT beats HD5670. I also don't know what 50€ equates to exactly, a proper upgrade would be more like an HD5770 if it falls within your budget.

6770? Maybe? Or 5670 like people are saying.

I chose the HD6670 now for 70€. I think this will fit it ( Should be lightly better then the 5670)

    Should be ok?
