New Types of Servers: Dynamic Servers

    Dynamic Servers
"is a world pvp server, focusing on the use of the world"

Championing: Each players has choose to represent a "home city" adding points they earn for the cities progress for additional rewards.

Ex. New Buildings, New Services, New Resource

    Character customization

-Players can choose to wear their own set off attire w/o letting item stat get in the way
-Players can put emblems and additional design to their armor
    -Armors will have dyes

    Rules:

-Raids and Dungeons will not be open

-Battlegrounds and Arenas will not be open

    -Killing players grants experience

-Guilds are none existent (extend your friends list, make raids!)

-Most Achievements except exploration and questing would be turned off

-New Achievements would be introduced(not too many) but will mostly reward cosmetics or a good gear(like for having a 100 kill streak).
    -There will be Physical Collision

-Real physical moves like Push and Slide exist

-Hack and Slash (to cast you have to hold the button)

Jobs : Players can pick ONE job as a source of income

    Examples of these jobs are:

    Job | Minimum level Requirement

    Street Cleaner | lv. 5
    Workshop Assistant | lv. 15
    Orphan Walker | lv. 25
    City Scout | lv. 40
    Bounty Hunter | lv. 50
    Guard | lv. 60
    Artifact Thief | lv. 70
    Warcryer | lv. 80
    (spreads fear into enemy towns)

-Different towns have different jobs to offer.

ex. Bounty hunters who work for Rachet kills nearby pirates. While a bounty hunter who works for the Crossroads hunts animals.

    There are no Gathering Proffesions
    Main Proffesions are:

    -Repairing
    -Cooking
    -Fishing
-First Aid (Cpr, Heimleck Menuever, Have a sit down, that type of first aid...)

    Call to Arms

Call to arms is a world pvp system. There are many different types of call to arms players can participate in. All call to arms resets every 6 hours and Switches daily.

    Call to Arms: Rally point

-The Goal is to Push the Opposing faction out off their starting point.

-Locations: The Highroad, Feralas, Cape of Stranglethorn, Darkcloud Pinacle, Andorhal, Wetlands, The Merchant Coast

    Call to Arms: Slaughter

-Team with bigger death toll loses
-Capturable "hills" exist to give out zone wide buffs

-Locations: The Battlescar, Desolace, Stormgarde, Alterac. Stonetalon Mountains, Andorhal, Swamps of Sorrows

    Call To Arms: Working Force

Gameplay: Players have to take as much resource they can for their faction. The team with the most resource wins.

Players need to harvest resources by killing the resources source will create resources(tree gives lumber, vein gives ores). Players then carry the resource to the caravans and drive the caravans into their factions camp.

    Rules:

-Killing enemy players and stealing their resources is allowed
-The Progress a player had made with the source will not be erased if killed (player chopping down a tree)
-Players cannot use enemy caravans. Players have to pull out resources and transport it to their factions caravans.

    Locations:

Lumber: Ashenvale, Stranglethorn, Ungoro, Hinterlands, Felwood
Mines: Blastedlands, Duskwood, Deadwind Pass, Winterspring

Call to Arms Northrend: Mountain Climing

Gamplay: It's pretty much like Rally point with both Faction starting at the same point.

Locations: Frostblade Peak, The Avalanche, Bors Breath

Call to Arms Outlands: Take Over

Gameplay: Players have to fix buildings; place doors, fix roofs and set up equipment and place banners.

    Rules:

-Players can break enemy props (banners, altars)
-Players can steal enemy supply like Doors, Tables, Crates

Locations: Laughing Skull Ruins, Bleeding Hollow ruins, Hellfire Fortifications, Zangarmarsh Draenei Ruins, Netherstorm Draenei ruins

    Call to Arms: Black Ops

Gameplay: Like capture the flag. Players fight to steal artifacts(even flags!)

    Rules:

-There will only always be 3-6 Artifacts
-Players need to secure artifacts until the game ends
-Faction with most artifact by the end of the game wins

Location: Ruins of Dalaran, Dire Maul, Tyr's Hand, Anh'Qiraj

    Player progression:

Player points are used to buy gear.

    Points are earned by:

    -Killing a player - 1 point
    -Killing Streaks: 3 streak - 5 points, 5 Streak - 10 points, 10 streak - 25 points

White and Green gear can be obtained through questing and killing normal monsters. Blue and Purple gear can be obtained from Cities.Players have to eat and drink once every 2 hours or they will get a stacking debuff

    City Progression:

The Cities provide all the supply raiding, dungeons, battlegrounds and proffesions use to offer. The greater the Progress your City has, the stronger the supply.

A City progresses like a player, it has it's own "experience bar". A city earns experience by the experience it's champions gain for it. Every victorious battle a champion participates in adds points for the city.

But unlike a player, a city loses points. Every lost battle a champion participates in decrease the cities experience by half the amount of winning experience.

Every level a city will release new services or extra bonuses

ex: Potion Store, Bandage Store, Armor Dying Shop, New Hairstyles, Trophy Hall, Festivals(Free Food), Sauna(fast rest xp), More patriotic props(banners), Barracks(hirable guards), New Monument(Final level, permanent addition.

If a city loses a level a building will be closed down.

To be expanded in dept if readers desire.

Also: If Blizzard doesn't make any of these i'm just gonna wait years to make my own games. Or I can sell ideas to Rift or DC universe online >.>

Requirement of Blizzards part: Loads of animations, Hack and Slash Game engine

I'm sorry, but the time and resources it would take to completely remake servers, systems, itemization, etc. would probably be a huge loss over how many new players or characters actually use these servers. I'm not saying that it is a bad idea, I like some of your ideas, and dislike some of them, just that Blizzard wouldn't be willing to take such a huge loss in money - or any company in my opinion.

    tl;dr for other people:
    An entire new game!

I love your ideas, but not for this game.. It would feel like an entire new game, which isn't the point of servertypes.

Well its not necessarily redesigning the current servers. It's adding a new type.

Yeah it's true it would take lots of time and work, but perhaps this could be a great expansion content or even a new game!

I just have this strong love for the Warcraft theme. If it's not Orcs, Trolls and Humans fighting it would just kill it for me.

Those dynamic features can be replicated with a little imagination. See: RP-PvP Servers.

No. Too cumbersome and too likely to be exploited by balance issues.

The problem I have with that is, it would barely feel like a game. It's harder and longer to operate and you have to do other things like arena and raiding to get rewarded even if you don't want to play them. Only a small amount of players would probably be participating and probably most of the time no one would be participating.

Still, I think it's good that people would RP to try doing something fun.

I like this idea and concept, maybe it should be its own blizzard game, or like an expansion to wow.

It's way easier to balance since it's way more straight forward than the current game types.

They can even follow a diablo like system like only being able to use 12 skills in action bars

id rather have this as an rpg in WC3, would be much better. implemented in wow - def not, things are fine as they are, this will be just too much hassle for rather poor results.

i might actually start working on a rpg like this for WC3 editor, could be quite cool.

I disagree with a lot of what the OP proposed; to me, it looks like a souped-up RP server, but with too many modifications making it extremely unlike other WoW servers; it might as well be a whole new game.

That said, I do admire the depth and extent of the effort OP puts in his proposal.

Now they can grow up and have ADVENTURES.

Thank you for complementing my proposal.

Though the problem I have with how server types are made in WoW is there is hardly any difference in it.

Rp servers - barely anyone rp's, kids dis rper's and everybody just does raid normally, with barely any addition to help rping.

PvP servers- every body raids, occasional ganking-ones you don't really enjoy as a content
PvE servers -Game just without ganking

and in all of those it's just same old grindy almost mandatory routines

I think they need to add more dept to their server types because it would easily define what a player wants to do.

If theres a world pvp guy you wont see him complain on forums he'll be in the world pvp server, you see an rper complaining in the forums he'll be in the Rp servers with rping gameplay included.

I think blizzard nowadays are to scared to add dept and flavour to the things they do because they are too scared their subscribers will not like their ideas. When in truth it their shyness and fear is the main reason a lot of their subscribers hate them.

    Edit:

Just as the same case with everything. Something thats il-defined and with little foundation has more chance to crumble.

Try The Venture Co. - I would've stayed there, but timezone differences mean I had to move. Wyrmrest Accord is supposed to be very big on RP, too - I remember the community going up in arms against some kid who dissed RPers in the General (/1) channel when I was there. Although if you want some more Blizzard lovin' in regards to RP-ing, I'm afraid we're all out of luck.

PvP servers- every body raids, occasional ganking
Isn't that the whole point of PvP servers? Admittedly massive world PvP fightfest is a thing of the past, although I must say I didn't miss it all that much.

I just hoped they would put more emphasis to it like to the level of how it was in the vanilla wow days.

I've never played Vanilla, although I have to note that I absolutely do not miss the days when level 80s camped and repeatedly raze Tarren Mill and the surrounding towns.

Some of us lowbies actually have quests to turn in, you know!
