Bluetooth Headphone connection problem

I'm trying to connect my bluetooth headphone to my laptop, but it doesn't work. I basically found out what the problem is, but I don't know how to solve it: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2018487

Since I can't initiate connection from the headphone, I don't know how to get the option to enter the code. I tried using the WIDCOMM software but it makes my explorer.exe crash and doesn't connect my headphone either. Anyone who has a solution to this?

Make sure first that your laptop has bluetooth capability (it will most often tell you if it doesn't or not when you initially purchase it). And the link you posted says that some older laptops with older processors might not be able to handle a newer bluetooth headset. So, you could either get an old bluetooth headset, or get a newer laptop.
