Does the battle.net Warcraft III version work with the Frozen Throne CD set?

Ok so I had already downloaded and installed Warcraft III (battle.net version). I just beat it so I moved on to the Frozen Throne (CD version). When i went to

install it, it said i needed to install Warcraft III first but i already did so i don't know why it is telling me to do that. So the question is, does the battle.net version

of Warcraft III work with the Frozen Throne expansion CD set?

It needs to be digital + digital, digital + cd doesn't work.
Just add your Frozen Throne cd-key to your battle.net account then download Frozen Throne from there.
