    Trojan warning on MMO-champ.

22nd of june I've been getting trojan warnings each time i load front/homepage of MMO-Champion and any of the forum overview pages.
Anyone else got the same problem and/or is it something unintended.

Using Norton licenced, if you're wondering.

Prolly some of the ads contain malware, if there's any. I use all the blocking addons so haven't experienced it myself

Good report, it's best to let the admins know about this. I've seen this happen before. They can stop certain ads from displaying on the site. If you can, try to find out which ad it is that is giving you the problems so they can best fix the issue.

A few weeks ago, I had trojan warnings popping up on just about every webpage from my Avast. Turns out, it was a faulty virus definitions update causing pretty much every connection to be detected as a false positive. I was freaking out though, worried that I would have to reformat my computer, and wondering how in the hell I got a virus that was running so rampant out of nowhere.

Gotta wonder why people seem to think norton is terrible, it isn't that expensive and i use it, i haven't had any viruses/trojans in years and i go to adult sites and sites i really shouldn't all the time, mozilla firefox +noscript helps alot too.

I have to agree that MS Security Essentials is pretty kickass... I do also have NoScript and Malwarebytes anyway.

Avast! has a reputation for flying false flags. That said, just take appropriate action to protect yourselves. Update AV definitions and run thorough scans. If you're running firefox, run add-ons like NoScript. Don't click on banners. If you're super paranoid, just browse MMO champ in a VPC for the time being =p

Not bashing Avast!, though. They push out new definitions faster than any other AV I've tried thus far. That, and sandbox ftw.

Back in the days (when grandpa was young), Norton was the most cluncky, massive, unstable and unreliable piece of software in it's category.
I was told that it got better around 5 years ago, but I never tried it out myself.

On-topic: Get Firefox (+Adblock, Noscript, Flashblock) and stop visiting shady websites...

My Norton, people not liking how it works fine, says theres a trojan named "Trojan Switi". more than that i dont know, wasn't there yesterday and it's not a popup in my browser, it's norton directly notifying that it blocked a trojan.

EDIT: I returned to the main page and they popped up again. -.-

I'm sorry, but AVG is terrible. Norton is MUCH better. If you don't believe me, google it.

This is true. Back in the day if you talked about Norton, you were talking not about a virusscan, but a package you installed that literally kept track of EVERYTHING your pc did. With the limited power of systems back then, this was just... bad. It slowed down your computer massively.

Right now, Norton Antivirus is one of the leading corporate Antivirus packages, and with good reason.

Microsoft security essentials detects the Threat as well, but as Exploit:SWF/CVE-2011-2110.A the threat is found in the file c4MSoGwLTHFLEXBO[1].swf

The exact same filename was found by symantec endpoint protection as Trojan.Swifi on a completely different system.
