no one knows the price, I am sure that is just a placeholder price. The system isnt even done being built, but was a prototype.

It's placeholder pricing like penric said.

It reminds me of a bath toy i had as a child :s it looked exactly like it except it had 2 large buttons at the bottom that when pressed they would shoot air inside it which makes glitter/ sea animals float around :s

I would like to see it go for that much. One of the biggest reasons people even bought the Wii was because it was extremely cheap, so if they put it up for something this expensive they are going to learn a few things and then drop the price.

Nintendo did mention how they don't want to sell their product less than it's worth, like how Sony did the PS3 and soon the PS Vita. I think that was mostly for the 3DS but I'm sure it would go for this as well. It is very possible the system could go for $600.

nintendo gave an estimate of $250 to $300 US when it goes up for sell.

note it will be a 1080p full HD compatible console that will run all classic wii games.

Nintendo knows better than to sell a console for more than 400 USD. That's why the Wii U has so much cheap tech in it so Nintendo can still claim Day 1 profits.

they used lower end hardware in the past cause they were more the kids console, now however they have got the adult market aswell so the new console will be a rival to the PS3 and 360. maybe even blow them away once a release model is released to public view.
