i guess this also shows that the old gods have the power to bring back the dead, via another method that is seperate from the lichkings.

more like a fungus that can take over a body and take control (this is real btw this can happen in real lif, their is a fungus like this) although this fongus has nothing to do with undeath. it just reminds me of the old gods form of necromancy.

Not sure if its South America, but yah, they grow on the ants brain and take over their body. I think there might be other species of the fungus that can take over other insects.

On-topic: Quite interesting. I'm not much into the lore anymore as I don't play but I still think the Old Gods are interesting. Hopefully we will get some "big news" about them soon.

Deathwing raised Nefarian from the dead, and Nefarian isn't just a mindless Undead Dragon like Onyxia, that means that the Old Gods are probably pretty skilled at Necromancy.
