    Budget Laptop

I would like to see your opinions on a good budget laptop for school and the company Lenovo ($450-600 range). The laptop will be strictly used for school as I own a decent desktop for all other needs. Also like to mention that having a HDMI port would be extremly handy for PP presentations and etc. Looking forward to your replies, thanks!

Looks decent for school work, but is sold out.

One important question is how big screen/keyboard you need? If you have to work with photo editing or programming IDEs you might want very large screen which also increases the size of the laptop and pricetag. If you don't need too large screen, laptops based on AMD's new low power CPUs might be worth looking at (small step-up from netbooks).
Never going to log into this garbage forum again as long as calling obvious troll obvious troll is the easiest way to get banned.
    Trolling should be.

Indeed. Both the "old" E-series (E-350) and the new A-series (more like a Phenom II with built-in graphics to beat Sandy Bridge) are very potent for this.
