[H] Aspire [8/13 HC 25] Talnivarr - Recruiting for Firelands (4 days per week)

Aspire is opening its doors for new recruits and like-minded raiders wishing to see and progress in end-game raiding. We are currently recruiting a variety of classes which are shown in our recruitment thread on our website. Please visit the following links to our forum and our main webpage.

Before you begin reading please note that our current progress (8/13) was done on a 3 day raiding week and we started very late. We're moving onto a 4 day raid schedule in order to hit firelands extremely hard.

    About Aspire

Aspire are a long running guild formed in early december 2009. We pride ourselves on our community feeling and extremely solid core. Most of our core members have been together from the first few months of our guild being created. We enjoy adding different players with different personalities to our core to create a fun (sometimes silly) environment. Although it sounds like we like to have fun, we are very serious about our progression and raiding when its needed.

We initially were a 10man guild and enjoyed fun times in WoTLK raids whilst building the guild up with the correct sort of person. We have evolved and constantly improved the guild in terms of who we bring in and which direction we take the guild. We are not oblivious to the fact that good, long-term guilds are not built up over night, they time time to form. With this idea in mind we have transformed the guild into a casual guild which had more fun than progress into a guild which progresses first and has fun when its appropriate.

Overall we are a fun guild and have alot of different personalities. We want to add the right people with the right attitudes to the guild and we do not accept people who consider themselves elitist, only focused on loot and general idiots. Its taken us time to build a core with people you generally would like to be around, we intend to keep it that way.

    Our Raids

    We are currently recruiting:

    - Mages
    - 1 Warlock
    - 1 Paladin Tank
    - Rogues
    - 1 DPS Warrior
    - Shadow priests
    - Any exceptional players

We currently raid 4 days a week, Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday and Monday. All raids are from 19:00 server time until 23:00 server time. We require you be close to 75-100% attendance by attending all 4 raids per week or at the very least, 3/4. Exceptions will be made to people with genuine reasons (if needed).

On Tuesdays we often run acheivement runs and Alt runs. There are often PvP groups going on within the guild with a good section of us being pvp enthusiasts as well as pve orientated.

    What we want from you.

We always look for 3 things from our potential applicants.

    Activity
    Attitude
    Performance

You need to be able to handle criticism and be able to work together in a guild environment. You also need to know your class inside out and be prepared to change specs if the guild needs you to fill another role. You need to be able to handle a real progress raid and accept that sometimes, raids dont always go as well as you want them to.

We do not believe in the idea that class leaders should be there to babysit players and do all the hard work for you so instead we work with a council of officer who oversee the guild. In turn, you are expected to understand your class fully before you apply, we can help you become better than you are but you need to have a firm grip on your classes mechanics before hand. Your gear needs to be fully enchanted and gemmed correctly at all times. Professions need to at max skill and reforging needs to be intelligent. Simply put, your character needs to be fully optimised at all times.

We have a age limit within the guild of 18+. We do take exception to this but you must show us in your application why we should do this.

If you think you would be perfect for us and would offer us the skill and determination to move the guild forward then please visit our website and apply. We are a very ambitious guild and we would expect our members to be the same. We all want to progress the best we can and we hope you will want to be part of that and join in with us.

    Thanks for reading

Bump! 6/7 25N atm. In dire need of a rocksolid tank, and dps of any class who are capable of staying alive and maintaining high dps while doing whatever the encounter asks of them.
They're (short for They are) describes a group of people. "They're/They are a nice bunch of guys." Their indicates that something belongs/is related to a group of people. "Their car was all out of fuel." There refers to a location. "Let's set up camp over there." There is also no such thing as "could/should OF". The correct way is: Could/should'VE, or could/should HAVE.
