Tailoring

Hello,

So i dropped a proff to lvl this and my guildies tell me at one point i will be able to loot more cloth from mobs. I am lvl 350 and cant see anything that says i can loot more cloth being a tailor in spellbook.

Anyone know what lvl i learn or who i n to speak to?

Tailoring trainer in Borean Tundra

Yes trainer in Borean Tundra and just to clarrify it's not you get more cloth from mobs. What happens is after a mob has been looted by you or another member in your party/raid that mob has a chance to have some cloth on them. This cloth is available to loot to anyone with tailoring and the bonus cloth skill.

Even though the skill says that you loot extra cloth only from Northrend people on Wowhead (http://www.wowhead.com/spell=59390#comments) have reported it to work for Cataclysm as well. I'm yet to personally test this though.

That is confirmed, it is in the patch notes from some time ago (maybe i am wrong and it was a blue post). To find a link....

It does work for Cata mobs. Me and a guildie fight each other for that extra cloth in raids every week

sorry to hijack, but i need some help.

My 85 mage has around 300 something tailoring. I want help with a few things.

If i heard correctly, bags sell all the time, so whats the best place to farm frostweave and embersilk? And, is there a good well known tailoring leveling guide ? When i google i get heaps of guides but not sure which ones are the best.

One more thing, which mage spec is the best for farming the cloth ? Lastly, i have seen this many times but i cant for the life of me remember, there is a hotkey or something that auto loots everything from a mob?

The auto looting happens if you press shift at the same time when clicking on the corpse. You can also activate auto loot from the interface options.

If you do go the farming route then make sure you get up to 325 level and grab the aforementioned scavenging from the trainer in Dal. But it really is best to just buy it when it's cheap and turn it into bags for instant profit.
