GUILD HISTORY

At the end of WOTLK, the old Adrastus lIl merged with the guild Tainted under Adrastus lIl name, each contributing about 50/50 with their best core players.
The two guilds have a rich history that starts early in Vanilla. Adrastus started as a PvP guild, and Tainted was formed from a group of irl friends interested in PvE. Both guilds killed all bosses up to C'thun and around 9 bosses in old Naxx.
In TBC, Adrastus lIl and Tainted took serious raiding into consideration, competing against each other, the two guilds getting all server firsts and server seconds (except Magtheridon). Tainted was the 101st guild in the world to kill Kil'jaeden (before the nerf patch), with Adrastus being closely after (top 150 worldwide).
In WOTLK, both guilds had issues finding decent recruits, so the raiding slowly became more casual (or semi hardcore). However, the two guilds still got most server seconds and server thirds, with a few server firsts (Tainted got the Immortal mount at the start, Adrastus got server firsts on Putricide and Blood Queen). In ICC, Adrastus got server 2nd LK, and both guilds finished it 12/13 heroic on 25man and 13/13 heroic on 10man.
Later in Cataclysm, the guys from Pancake Patrol (10men guild) also joined us. They are members of the old Closure guild (Skullcrusher - Horde) and formed their 10men guild at the start of Cataclysm on Alliance side.
We are proud of our long and rich history, and we're looking forward to an even more glorious future.


CURRENT PROGRESS

As of 28th June 2011, our progress is 12/13 heroic, server second. We killed everything in 25man except Al'akir, which we downed in 10man. We managed to kill Sinestra before Firelands, and we only have Ascendant Council left, which we will probably go for after Firelands is out.


ADRASTUS lIl MEMBERS

Adrastus lIl members are people from all over Europe, from UK to Netherlands, Slovakia, Romania, Greece and more. We speak only English on guild chat and Ventrilo.
Most of us are somewhere between 20-30 years old, studying, working, having irl hobbies as well, so we like to have our offline time, thus a reasonable raiding schedule of 3 days / week. We play relatively less compared to other guilds, but we like to be on top positions in progress. Instead of players who play 24/7, we'd rather take people with impressive skill, ambition and willing to give raids 200% of what they can do. Besides the effective raiding we love to joke and therefore laugh a lot, our Vent atmosphere being the key in keeping us all playing this game. We are trying to keep everyone happy and distribute loot and/or other stuff equally to everyone according to what they deserve. If the above description suits you, don't think twice to apply!


HOW DO WE MANAGE OUR RAIDS

We give priority to progress in front of farm content, whenever possible.
Our schedule is: PvE raids on Wednesday, Thursday, Monday - from 19:30 till 00:00, and PvP rated BGs on Sunday, Tuesday - from 20:00 till 00:00.
Flasks and food are provided by the guild bank, in the form of Big Cauldrons of Battle and Seafood Magnifique Feasts. Our guild bank also buys materials for cauldrons and feasts at fixed prices, if you happen to enjoy fishing or herbing.
We take a 10-15 minutes break (so we can sort out irl stuff like eating, toilet, phone calls, etc) after 2 hours of raiding, and we continue with another 2 hours afterwards (because flasks last for 2 hours).
We distribute loot based on loot council method, where all officers give their opinion for each item dropped. We do not use DKP, but we still take into account attendance, performance and attitude when we award the loot.
We use a few guild ranks, some of the features you can earn being: guild bank repairs, raid spots priority (if the raid setup allows it) and loot priority (limited, loot council still has the final word).


WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU

You are a dedicated, skilled, mature, aware and ambitious player.
You know your class, game mechanics and you easily improve from your own mistakes.
You join raids with tactics studied ahead, with a few stacks of potions specific to your class role, with a working PC and internet connection and with addons, macros and UI fixed before the raid starts.
You can attend all of our raid days.
Gear-wise you are ready to make your way through our current progress.
You have a microphone and you are able to use it whenever you are asked to.
Being able to play offspecs is appreciated but not required at all.
We actively use our forums, so we expect that from you.
