About Us

<Storm Forged> has been on the US Dethecus server since launch and is recruiting:

1 Rogue
1 Tank (pref. Paladin)

Currently Storm Forged is running one progression oriented 10 man raid on a two day per week schedule. The core of our progression group has been together since Ulduar, although the majority of our players have raided in 40 and 25 man environments together since Molten Core. In ICC we achieved a server second/alliance first Lich King 10 heroic kill and in Cata we have achieved a server first on every hard mode kill to date, including sneaking in a Sinestra kill just before 4.2.

At this time we are operating on a strict 10 man roster – this means that if you are accepted and you pass the trial phase you are guaranteed a full time raiding spot. Throughout Ulduar, ICC, and Cataclysm we have never raid stacked, and no player has been left out of any progression kill unless they were unable to make a raid time due to personal issues. For the TLDR challenged, this means you will be in on every progression kill.

Our group is more mature than your typical WoW raid and as such many of us have commitments outside of the game. Thus our two days per week raid schedule. On rare occasion we will attempt to organize a third day if we are close to a server first kill, or a patch/nerf is imminent. This means you must come to raid days prepared for the progression at hand – knowing the fights, knowing what is required of you, and being ready to perform to the best of your ability.

You don’t need to be a walking encyclopedia of theory crafting to do well here – but you must at a minimum keep up to date with class specific specs, rotations, gearing, abilities, and be current on boss encounters. Overall we are a laid back bunch of dudes that like to have a good time and have many interests outside of the gaming world. Our time is valuable, your time is valuable, and we aim to maximize our results in the limited time that we have to play.

About You

1. List your character's Name, Class, and Spec (we expect that the spec you are applying for is the one you plan to stick with for quite a while), also include a link to your Armory and stay logged out with your raiding gear during the recruitment process.

2. Do you have a suitable computing setup to run WoW? Do you have a stable and reliable connection? Killing Yogg Saron pre-nerf with a main tank that couldn’t see clouds due to graphics card limitations has significantly reduced our tolerance for those without both of the above.

3. Please tell us of your availability for the following times and inform us of limitations (i.e. vacation, big exams, etc) coming up in the future that would affect your ability to raid at these times.

4. Please include a few WWS/WOL reports from recent raids you have attended. If you have some parses that are sub par, but show improvement in later ones, by all means show them to us. Showing us that you have the ability to adjust and learn from your mistakes is a plus not a negative. Please explain what you were doing wrong and what steps you took to improve your play.

5. Tell us about your raiding experience. At a minimum include your current Cataclysm progression as well as any significant past experience. You don’t have to rock Mimiron’s Head, or have every server first title but some experience with difficult fights is expected.

6. Tell us about your class. What makes you good at your class? What resources do you use to keep up with the constant class changes Blizz throws at us?

7. Tell us a little about yourself and what would make you a good fit in SF and in our raids. Don’t skimp out on this question – we have a small roster and you must have some personality, we don’t want WoW robots we want people.

8. What was the last major herp-derp that you pulled in a raid? What did you do to correct your herp-derpiness? We know that all people make mistakes - in this group you must be willing to admit them and correct them in the future.
