So I been having issues with recount. I checked and it says up to date but it won't record any data in game. So I uninstalled it and installed Skada and it works like a champ. I prefer recount and am curious if anyone else is having the same issue or if anyone can point me in the right direction to fix it.

It's not updated, because curse won't accept it. There is an alpha version on wowinterface that works.

If you're using Curse Client, right click on Recount and change the Preferred Release Type to Alpha. It will then update to the latest working alpha (which works great).
If you're not using Curse Client, just use http://www.wowace.com/addons/recount/files/.
