Choosing a new class in 4.2

So after having left WoW shortly after the release of 4.1, I have now returned back to the game, and decided to re-roll a new toon with a friend. Since i have not been following the forums as of late, I was wondering what classes are doing well in 4.2?

doing well how?

dps, stateofdps.com gives you a general feel of what you can expect raid wise if you go that route
heals, I dont really know
tanks, every tank has complaints, every tank does some things better than others, but all tanks are capable of tanking nicely.

if you're just talking about leveling maybe 5mans, honestly all classes do it well.
