Welcome to the Roleplaying Forums! This thread will be an easy to read guide, helping you getting started. There are a few steps you need to go through before you can start roleplaying openly on the forum. If you need additional help, a moderator or other generic roleplaying members can always be found at our IRC Channel.

The first thing you need to know is that we have "Beginner Roleplaying Threads." In these particular threads you do not need to have any prior roleplaying experience, or even a written character biography to join up. These roleplays are designed to let you try roleplaying firsthand, and see if it would be something for you, before you write a character. There are two types of Beginners RP's. The first type is the Open Beginner RP's where anyone is free to join in without all the hazzle. These RP's will often be taking place in public places, such as bars. The Open Beginner RP's will, from time to time, be restarted so new people can have a chance of joining in without reading through a ton of pages first. The Closed Beginner RP's are threads designed like a school-class, lead by whichever veteran roleplayer is having the class. There'll be teachings in holy magic, shadow, arcane, brawling, anything you might desire to try out for yourself! To get into one of those, simply contact anyone assigned to that which you want to learn on our buddy list below.

Before you throw yourself into roleplaying in any of these threads, please read our "Playing A Character" Guide.

- The Buddy List -

This system has been put in place to offer help and assistance to new roleplayers who get stuck in the process of creating their character. Notice, they're putting their time into helping you, not to write a character for you. When contacting a buddy, they'll have a lot of helpful advice and comments. A general list of classes has been compiled below. If you're having any sort of questions regarding writing a character, or if it would be probable for a Paladin to fall from grace, feel free to contact us. If you're in doubt of anything that is not currently listed as a subject, feel free to ask anyone on the list. If they cannot answer you in person, they'll redirect you where you need to go.
