    H Shannox 10

What ilvl would people need for Heroic shannox 10?

Last week we did ragnaros, and we probably down him today. and right now all our raiders are at around 366 ish ilvl. So should we be capable of downing him, or should we wait a few more weeks?

Shannox isn't really the gear test boss of the instance it just requires being quick on your toes. It is however slightly terrifying being a boomkin then having to step into tank him and get the running to reset stacks right.

Hm Shannox 10, in most ways, is easier than Rag 10. The only thing you will need to check out is if your tanks can rotate CD's properly, as they will take pretty emu all the damage (Minus rage face nomnoms of course).A very simple HM that our guild 1 shot amazingly.ALS - Typed from my iPhone

Indeed this is definitely not a gear check boss so basically if you managed the 7/7 should be doable especially with the 100% crit on face rage things got slightly less NRG.
It's entirely based on raiders avoiding traps, keepc rystal-trapping on Rageface and the tanks do teir best to reset their stacks especially the Riplimb tank.

Sadly things can easily go wrong that cause Rageface to turn into a fast killing machine if you miss one stack reset or if accidentally step onto a fire trap (something that is often happens at the last 20% of the fight where many many traps are all over the place).

Either way you should try it it's not that hard and certainly not a gear check.

About the Traps. If there isn't any rogue, a bubbled DK or Pala can trigger some traps without harm. Also the Shannox tank can do so from time to time. A Destru Lock with skilled nether protection can also easily survive an immotrap (best if you let your healer know especially if its a disc to preshield you). So you will probably have one of these classes in your setup to get rid of really bad placed traps. We also switched to a complete trapfree area at about 40%. After we found out how to handle the immo traps ist was pretty much a "Tanks were running, arcane mage was blinking and boss was dying thing".

    The HC or the normal?
The Normal yes the HC would be stressful for your healers if they are on 359 only.

If you bring three healer and at least one of them will be bored anyways.

Heroic Shannox is just a coordination check. If your offtank isn't backpeddeling it's actually quite hard to not beat this fight. Dps requirements are laughable low (almost the same as nonheroic), if you can kill Baleroc normal mode or even Ragnaros.. you can kill him

It's a pretty small step between Ragnaros normal and Shannox hc, go for it! Besides it's not really about the gear but more about coordination, and with the nerf to Rageface (100% increased crit chance on him instead of 50%) that's another aspect, that somewhat was gear dependent, gone.
