    Not necessarily. But changing the CPU to a it 2500K, alongside the mobo switch, will.
    If you already have the CPU, I'd stick with what you have already.

    Do you think going with better GPU for gaming over overclocked i5 2500k would be wise?

    Depends on the resolution you're running at and what games.

    High resolution = Better video card

    Heavy CPU gaming = Better CPU

    Although the differences between a 2500 and an overclocked 2500k are probably going to be minimal off the bat, but it's also the lowest difference in price.
