Screen goes completely blank or blue screen

the title explains it but i wonder what the issue is?!!! I had overheating issue in the past but just recently had black outs. It works almost fine when im on wow but can still sometimes mess up. I wanted to get some tips and info. I have a Hp Pavilion entertainment laptop. Ty in advance

blank as in dead black? the system just stops working? blue screen as in system crash? and reboot?

When does it do this?
Does it happen often or was it a once off?

Did system recovery and still having blue screen issue but nOw I have to reinstall windows which I don't have

When your PC goes all BSOD what are the error codes that appear on the screen? Will look something like

Stop: 0x00000001

These codes are problem specific, so if somebody knows what codes appear on your screen, they can probably tell you exactly what is going wrong (and maybe even how to fix it)
