    Design the Deathwing Encounter!

Go on, let your imagination run wild!

Abilities (Numbers in Parenthesis are 10-man)

    * Molten Slash - Deathwing's melee attacks coat the target's armor in lava, reducing the target's armor by 5% and causing an additional 8,000 (5,000) fire damage for each hit within 30 seconds.
    * Molten Breath - Every 45 seconds, Deathwing flies into the air and breathes fire onto all targets below him, dealing 350,000 (150,000) unresistable fire damage divided among all living targets. This ability has a 5 second cast time and can be interrupted, but interrupting this spell reduces the cast time of further Molten Breaths by 35%.
    * Siphon Strength - Every 15 seconds, Deathwing siphons the strength of all enemies, reducing their damage and healing dealt by 1% and increasing his own damage and healing by 20%. This ability stacks and is not cleared by any means other than death.
    * Molten Fury - Every 90 seconds, Deathwing focuses his attacks upon an enemy more than 20 yards away, attacking them until he has completed 5 (2) melee attacks. While in this rage, Deathwing takes an additional 50% damage and the time between his melee attacks is increased by 100%.
    * Minions of Flame - Every 60 seconds, Deathwing summons 5 (2) Minions of Flame that attack his enemies. The minions cannot be crowd controlled or slowed and their melee attacks cause their target to take an addition 10% damage that stacks.

4 players drive Deathwing's four legs, similar to Rhyolith. Their goal is to make him do the Hokey Pokey, which results in him becoming exhausted and falling to the ground for 20 seconds, taking 50% increased damage for the duration.

Players can work together to find out other dance moves Deathwing is capable of, some of which may help/hinder the raid if pulled off successfully.

Go in there, onehit the boss and get free loot. That's how I would like it, so everyone can stop whining about hard raids are.

Avoid fire, kill adds, insert slowly increasing/encroaching mechanic to act as soft enrage. Around 40-30% call on the aid of Alexstrasza and the allied flights to subdue Deathwing. During this period various raid members must enter Deathwing's conscience, eradicating the madness that has overtaken him, while the rest of the raid must fend off crazed Black Dragons assaulting from all sides. Once the madness within has been defeated, Deathwing once again remembers his true self, Neltharion, apologizes to those he betrayed using the Demon Soul, then dies from the mental and physical ordeal he has been through. Expansion over.

    • Phase 1: tank and spank while avoiding cones, cleaves and tail swipes.
    • Phase 2: Deathwing takes to the air and periodically erupts the earth and causes waves of flame to surge across 1/3 of the area at a time; he also puts fire dots on random targets, causes rock and steam geysers to burst forth, large patches of spreading molten lava all over the place, and summons whelps - many whelps - as well as lumbering monstrosities, elementals and behemoths that must be kited and killed before phase 2 ends.
    • Phase 3: The various dragonflights enter the fight. Players must mount up and avoid missiles, gouts of flame, mines, earthen spikes, and various lightning, fire and shadow flying adds.
    • Phase 4: Deathwing is brought down to the ground but wipes out half the area, immobilising the dragonflights. Well-known Azerothian leaders and battle-hardened veterans join the fight with siege engines, catapults, and all manner of crazy stuff. Players must help the NPCs to battle Deathwing's minions while stacking damage on him. Periodically, some players are teleported to either above Deathwing or directly below him, where they must kite adds, avoid deathtraps and escape the gauntlet to escape portals to rejoin the raid.
    • Phase 5: As he nears 30%, Deathwing will roar in fury, destroying the siege engines and other equipment and forces brought against him. Players must then engage the twilight dragonflight as they come in droves, while tanks taunt-swap as they prevent Deathwing from one-shotting the raid from his powerful breaths and multiple deadly attacks, and kite him around the crumbling, cracking and heaving area. In this phase also, all the forces of Azeroth come to bear: Malfurion, Cenarius, etc join in to help players push back the twilight dragons.
    • Phase 6: As the twilight dragons are defeated and Deathwing nears 10%, his body weakening, the other dragonflights are shaken from their paralysis and rejoin the fight, empowering players to overcome the aura that has increased its pulsings as Deathwing's armor cracks and breaks off. More adds and other environmental hazards appear, with walls of earth bursting up to separate players, pools of lava spreading out, lines of spikes surging across the ground, etc.
    • Phase 7: Players are immobilised in a final attempt by Deathwing to destroy everything around him. But, finally, the Demon's Soul is exposed and Alexstrasza, empowered by the sacrifice of other dragons, destroys it in one mighty tail swipe and a scream of rage and pain by Deathwing.
Deathwing's body falls to the ground, the rest of his armour falling off in large, clanky chunks. His skin disintegrates and he disappears into an explosion of dust and earth, fire and swirling shadow, leaving a huge imprint in the ground where he had lain.

Apologies for innacuracies to the lore. Can't remember what actually happened with the Demon's/Dragon's Soul when Deathwing went into hibernation. But it would be cool if it was there, beneath his armour, and was destroyed at the end.
    For the Alliance!
