try getting your 5th dps in on the crystals, and making people take 10-11 stacks only. unless they have good CDs, like AMS or barkskin, and can safely stay in for 15+.

hopefully this avoids dps dying to shard dmg.

maybe if you got a decimation blade stack really early it could be dangerous, but as the fight goes on, healers should be putting how some pretty crazy numbers, and it should be trivial to keep up the warrior. i've heard our hpally talk about 300K word of glory's or whatever the pally big heal is

One thing that made this fight a lot easier for our team - use only 1 tank. This way you get 3 healers, two of them constantly on the tank, 1 on dps increasing his stacks, and 6 dps, in two groups of 3, one group for one shard, 8-9 stacks per person per stack. Plus you get one additional dps to bring him down faster. On 10 man mode it really is easier to do this way, dont know about 25 man.

The Idea of healing through this fight is two things:

1.) If the first blade is Decimation Blade, you might as well reset, you can heal it through if you have pally's LoH, priest's guardian etc
2.) Your healers must build up at least 20-30 stacks asap. We rotate healers every shard cast - 2 of 3 healers constantly heal tank and one healer, different every shard, heals the dps which gets the stacks

Decimation blade does 250k or 90% of your health if you are above 250k no matter what (unless you dodge it). CD's are useless against it, it cannot be mitigated in any way.

Our comp is somewhat similar to yours, however, we use 1 tank.

We two shot this guy our first time trying him with this strat, dont know if it will help you, but this is how I set it up.

    We used 1 tank.

Assigned 2 dps per crystal, have them swap at 12 stacks. Rogue takes first 12 stacks, Ret takes second and uses cds to live if needed. Mage takes first 12 on second, Shadow Priest can disperse every time they get to 9+ stacks as well, limiting damage taken.

Assign 1 healer to each crystal, healing the dps taking the damage. In your case, the Shaman and Disc priest. When their 2 dps are not tanking the crystals, they are healing the tank full time.

Have your paladin healer beacon the tank, and heal torments gaining stacks of vital spark or what not, the healer that's not healing their torment is always healing the tank. If decimation blade pops up paladin swaps and starts healing the crap out of the tank with the other healer, if it's inferno blade, we found beacon + the healer on the tank currently was more than enough to keep him alive, letting the paladins stack get even higher. If you're lucky and get inferno blade first, your paladin will have quite a few stacks by the time the first decimation blade hits and he can heal the tank pretty well. If your priest is holy, have him guardian the tank during decimation blade.

Fairly simple and straight forward strat, worked well for us, hope this helps. ^_^

I also solo tank this fight.
As a Paladin, Ardent Defender is a very strong cooldown against decimation blade, but should be saved for when you are about to take a hit from it when you are not at 90% HP. If you are, then don't use it.
(Obviously since you aren't using a Paladin tank, this is a non issue.)

Glyphed Vampiric Blood should be used during decimation blade, and other cooldowns - your disc priest's Power Word: Barrier - should be used.

Never double them up, always use them alone; use them after the FIRST TIME decimation blade hits you.
Meaning, if you don't get hit the first time, don't use it. If the second one also misses you, don't use ANY of the cooldowns; the third one might still hit you, but he only swings it three times, and so after that, you're in the clear. (You'll still need to be topped off.)

Ultimately though, it all boils down to how fast your healers can get a heal off when it counts.
Have them count to two and then start spam healing you with their greater heal. This should run in time with the decimation blade's strikes.

Any on use dodge/parry trinkets you have will be useful for this too.
