    Get heirlooms, enchant them.
Get a crafter or use your own crafting char to make sets of items with some cheaper enchants on them because you will replace them anyway pretty fast.
    Queue up and own.

Leveling in PvP can be GREAT.

But you actually have to do shit (I.E Kill people, cap flags, cap bases etc)

You don't get XP per HK right? Or did they change that? as far as I know you only get XP when you win the battle.

I cant really give any tips in leveling except to use Heirlooms and check AH for items for your level. Or better just ask a person to craft the items cause a green lvl 35 item cost 50 gold.

Try winning the BG instead of PvPing all the time. Most players are just FOTMs wanting to one shot everything, so let them fight and cap a base. Its actually more fun

And create alliance char: low level queues is often instant for me to 2 min wait time, for hordes it will go up to 30 minutes. And for lols, create a character named something like "undeadkiller" just to piss the undeads off. I swear most BGs have 90% undead males. No, im not starting to hate them, im starting to get amazed in a positive way. Theres undeads everywhere. Hello, i want to battle horde, not an undead faction.

You will love undeads my friend. You will do. You will camp them. You will exploit against them. You will actually feel rewarded for killing them and rofling at their corpses.

Step 1. Roll a male draenei, make him bald with a ridiculous moustache. (This ensures full nerd-rage from the opposite team, if you can't stand the look of a draenei, roll Gnome).

Step 2. Objectives, losing a BG is a massive waste of time, I only ever seem to get any XP / Honour when I win.

Step 3. Geaaaaaarrrrr. Use honour you make to buy all the gear you can, or do the occasional dungeon to keep up to date. Always make sure you have enough gear to not get 1-shotted by a rogue.

Try and queue with a healer, 1 healer can make all the difference in BGs, nothing worse then queuing up and realising all your team mates are (hero-wannabe) hunters / rogues.

Mostly though, have fun. BGs are awful when you lose so try and co-ordinate your team, ignore the noobs and carry the team!

make sure to use the arathi and wsg honor vendors as they sell items for honor including some epic bracers from 45 onwards.
very useful for ring/neck slots or buying 2 of the 1h's for testing out fury isntead of being forced to arms all the time with your heriloom reaper.
pick your targets, don't just look at the class of your target look at it's hp first class after, if your target is sitting 200~ hp lower than his fiends you have just spotted the non pvp-low ilevel geared leveling character.
kil him/her and then heal of the other guy with your victory rush.

you only earn exp from 'winning' events or mini-events EG
    flag caps in WSG
    Res threshholds in arathi/eots
    tower kills in AV
lesser known fact -> AV is awsome sauce for exp while leveling as all npc's killed give a bit of exp this trickle of exp combined with multiple exp worthy objectives -> towers/galv/belinda/win makes it the best for leveling in.
other benefit of AV -> rep with your home city + general alliance. and pvp/pve items available to buy at 58.

other note of leveling via pvp. each killing blow is worth Guild rep.
at a certain rep ammount you can buy a cloak with a required level of 1 but an ilevel of 35 = top level enchants at 1-35 bracket on cloak

Buy a full set (minus heirloom slots) of pvp gear at level 60 for sub 2000 honor
Buy a full set ( minus heirloom slots) of pvp gear at level 70 for ~2500 honor
    Buy cata greens at 76+
    Faceroll everyone ever.

You WILL get exp for losing, about 20% of what you get for winning. Winning is a much better use of your time. If possible get someone to RAF with you. When im RAFin with my buddy we get almost an entire level per win (and this is at level 68)

    Gearing:

Get heirlooms if possible (as said)
Buy off set pieces from the Warsong and Arathi Basin vendors from 19 - 60ish
Save up honor to get a full set of Brutal Gladiator's gear
Also, look for cheap green Cata items with a lvl 77-79 level req. This will make a huge difference in the 75-79 bracket.

    Strategy:

Stay focused on objectives in maps since winning gives much more xp/honor than HKs. Escort flag carriers, kill enemy flag carriers, defend towers, and most of all watch your map for changes in the game!

Finally, be aware that sometimes the games will not always be fair. Some classes are insanely overpowered at some level brackets. Just stick through it and don't get frustrated.

no need for heirlooms or enchants.

I started a priest on a roleplaying realm that I leveled up some using pvp (lvl 10-17; 23-37). Used other levels to get some better gear for the pvp leveling. This was before cata. I stopped leveling him around 42ish though.

leveling is a boring grind in general

Agreed. No RNG in questing though.. or very little with drops. Some nights I can go 3-5 BG's without a win. Toss full time games in there.. waste of time, literally.

Ya, heirlooms aren't necessary, especially if you get good gear from instances. I'm currently leveling a war on a new server and have had no problem without heirlooms.

You have a strange fetish and/or problem.
OT: Between Q times, farm mobs. Questing isnt worth it as you will outlevel the questchain and most of your freetime will be traveling. Im sure some old websites will have high mob spawns from back when AoE grinding was a leveling alternative.
