Drop the i7 2600k to a i5 2500k if gaming is all you do, for gaming does not use the hyperthreading that i7 has to offer. Besides that, the case is a little large, but you have a lot of upgrading space. Also, I wonder about some of these brands, Gainward? BenQ?

Asus is very reputable for Video cards, also is gigabyte, MSI and EVGA, other people will list some other reputable brands.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814127564 is a GTX570 with a very, very nice cooler on it. Though, if price is a large issue stay with yours assuming it is cheaper.

I'm guessing you don't want to build this for yourself?

Judging by the Gainward GPU and the Seagate Baracuda HDD and the Intel 320 SSD it seems like it's from a prebuilt site like CyberPowerInc or iBuyPower

As said above, give us your budget, where you live (US, EU, etc), what you want to use the computer for, if you're comfortable building it, if it needs an OS, and we will do our best

Benq ? it was a cheap monitor that i just found .

Gainward? I pretty much assumed it was all Nvidia and it was just a small difference on who actualy produces the item. ( like mentioned earlier im a noob :P )

OS? I was thinking Windows 7 home premium 64bit

Edited my first post with price tag, (the price that I have found)

I am not the computer builder myself, but my fiancé recently built us both systems (we spent around $2k USD for both). We bought everything from Newegg. The only thing we had a negative experience with is his case...a Rosewill. The power button, from what we have read, is not soldered well and causes the computer to short out and randomly restart. It took a month to determine, through trial, error, switching out our identical components, etc...but it's the effing case. Sure, the computer itself will work now that we've unplugged the cable to the power button, but that's kind of lame, to not have a working power button, and of course the pretty LEDs on the front don't work.

However, my case, a Cooler Master, has given us NO problems and according to BF was much easier to fit everything in (he says the plugs are positioned better and it's a little roomier, despite the cases being the same size externally). So yeah, go with the Cooler Master. I just really want to warn everyone against the Rosewills because it is a known issue and they are still selling the cases and making people jump through the hoops of testing everything else before replacing them.

I'm not sure if it's normal in Norway but $430ish for a GPU or a CPU is incredibly over priced. Maybe try finding a website that sells in dollars but ships to Norway. I could get a similar setup in the US for around ~$1600. With crazy expensive shipping that would probably be ~$1800. Now that may not be an option for you but Just maybe it will help you out

EDIT: I believe tigerdirect.com ships to Norway but you may want to call and find out. They have prices that are comparable to Newegg and they have a lot of things on their site.

ye thanks, I will try to find cheaper prices ^^ perhaps newegg as previously mentioned, my main objective was finding the items that I need for a "awesome" gaming computer that are compatible with each other :P and I preferably not have to be able to shit gold bricks to pay for.

Newegg doesn't ship outside of the US.

Ye I found out that they didn't ship to norway, but my main concern is still finding all the items i want , Currently I have changed the video card to a more known producer, Change the SSD from 80Gb to 120Gb, and the hard drive from 500 Gbite to 1 Tbite. and I am wondering if i should I5 2500 or I7 2600, other then that my item list is pretty much the same, I hope they are compatible each other, cause I choose them a bit "randomly".

the GTX i changed to is - MSI GeForce GTX 570 1280MB PhysX
    PCI-Express 2.0, "Twin Frozr III PE", GDDR5, 2xDVI, native-miniHDMI, 770MHz

so the questions I currently have is...

I5 2500 or I7 2600, and why should I pick it instead of the other. [please be detailed if you can]

Is there any items that I should upgrade, degrade, completely remove or a item that i should add?

someone earlier mentioned with helping for OS, wouldn't mind some advice there either

The i5 is better then the i7 when it comes to gaming, and the i7 for video editing and such. It has something to do with Hyperthreading or something like that, don't know the details.

    Looks good and compatible.

It's mostly like that in Europe. We all pay pretty much the same price for parts as people in the US do....only with different currency (aka parts in Europe end up costing more). Where computers are involved it's pretty much euro=USD$. So i'm guessing the OP's budget is closer to 2k $ than 2.7 (as it "should" be with a 2k euro budget).

Also be careful about ordering from far away (esp outside the EU):

1)Shipping is going to be painful (also any DOA parts are going to take more time and more money to get resolved)
2)Taxes. Make sure no taxes are applicable or you may end up paying way more than you saved by ordering from overseas.

    More on topic:

For the cpu if gaming is your first priority go for the i5 2500k (the k means it has an unlocked multiplier and is relatively easy to OC). As for the OS just make sure it's 64-bit (the 32-bit versions only support up to 3.5something GB of ram). And the twin frozr is amazing.

PS: Only reason to pick the i7 2600k over the i5 2500k is Hyperthreading (allowing each physical core to opperate 2 threads simultaneously, aka perform as if there are 8 cores instead of 4 under heavy load when it's needed). Hyperthreading is not supported by any games as far as i know (at least until now) and the i5 actually outperforms the i7 (not by a huge margin) in games. Also it's 100euro/$ cheaper.

Posting this from the iPhone has been a HUGE pain, probably missed something. If you need anything specific clarified just ask.

It should be noted that taxes comes to mind here in Europe, so 15 000 NOK is closer to $1500 than $2700 AFAIK. As I recall, computer components are rather expensive in Norway (more-so than here in Sweden) so I would look into a $1500 budget (from our perspective).

Anyway, with such a budget you could get a i5 2500k, 2x4Gb RAM, a GTX 580 and a 80-120Gb SSD - more than enough to cover all your gaming needs.

Oh and about building the computer i found a nice video on youtube /watch?v=zcR8Fl8cwZk&feature=channel_video_title
if there is any more information about the subject please inform and teach me (and the other clueless people who might browse the page)

It's Norway dude. He is most likely using the "correct" currency exchange rates when doing this, not taking into consideration that these things cost way less in the US.

    Edit:
OP, as for the build you posted most recently: if you have the cash, go for the GTX 580. It's a beast. You can also drop down to a 600-650W PSU or go up to a 850-900W if you plan to add another card in the future. Also, get a aftermarket heatsink for the 2500k, like the CM Hyper 212+, and overclock it to 4.2-4.4Ghz and enjoy a cool, fast CPU.

    added

Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus CPU Kjøler
    755/1155/1156/1366, 939/940/AM2/AM2+/AM3, 600~2000 RPM, 21~76 CFM, 13~32 dBA

    and

MSI GeForce GTX 580 1536MB PhysX
    PCI-Express 2.0,"Twin Frozr II", GDDR5, 2xDVI, native-miniHDMI, HDCP, CUDA.

Oh and yes you are correct i used the 1NOK = 0,187 USD and not the EU = USD that some seemce to suggest would be the correct way to show the budget for computer parts in eu.

    ---------- Post added 2011-07-27 at 12:38 AM ----------

oh, and changed my monitor aswell

    AOC Professional 27" skjerm E2795VH
    2mS. 20.000.000:1, 1920×1080

Oh this is probably the dumbest question, but what is sandy bridge? What is it good for?
