Which SWTOR class do you plan on playing at launch?

Kind of surprised that the Jedi Knight isn't the most popular option. Not that I think it should be, I had just assumed that it would be.

As for me, I'm going to play a Jedi Knight. I haven't done a ton of research on keeping up with information, but i seem to remember that class is the tanking class.

Better pick carefully since there is no dual spec.

For now. There wasn't even AC respecs for the last two years of beta until the new build and client released. Don't count dual specs out forever.

Bounty Hunter Powertech main. Probably Sith Inquisitor Sorceror as my first alt.

I'm surprised to see the IA so low. People have been saying they're one of the most fun classes to play and that the Sniper is pretty much OP.

Republic trooper definitely:
+100 coolness factor
+heavy armor and BFG (big fucking gun)
+hearing it's great at pvp
+tank, making the LFG queues instant

Then maybe a smuggler sniper or how it's called the ranged dps spec.

After that maybe jedi guardian.

Also, keep in mind that there should be a greater percentage of healers and tanks in SWTOR.

Here's why:

WoW has 10 classes each with 3 different specs to choose from giving the game 30 different specs.
4 of the 30 are tank specs
5 of the 30 are heal specs
21 of the 30 are DPS specs

SWTOR will have 8 classes (4 main classes (per faction) which will branch out into 8 completely different classes)
Those 8 classes will basically have 2 specs each (the 3rd tree will be a shared tree) so 16 specs.
3 of the 16 will be tanks
3 of the 16 will be healers
10 of the 16 will be DPS

As you can see, WoW has 21 DPS specs and only 4 tanks and 5 healer specs thats 4-5 times more DPS than tanks/healers.
SWTOR will only have 10 DPS, only 3 times more DPS than tanks/healers.


If SWTOR raiding will be anything like WoW (2 tanks, 4 heals, 12 DPS for 20m raids), then the demand for each spec will be relatively balanced (except maybe tanks getting screwed a bit)

Mainly because, as of now, 99% of kids below the age of 15 are intending on playing sith, so I know a TON of horde who are going jedi.

Sith warrior first - after that, probably something stealthy (Imperial Agent i believe its called?), and then Perhaps Bounty hunter or Sith Inquisitor..
