Resolution keeps resseting

Hey guys, everytime i restart my computer, or shut it down and load it back up, my monitor resets to 1280 x 1024, and i have to click detect for it to find the proper resolution that my monitor runs. it would only show up to 1600 x 900 until i click detect. Im using windows 7 64 bit with a gtx 580./

Yeah, my other monitor broke so i've got to use this crappy one till it gets repaired, has only started doing it since i changed.

thats probably why, VGA uses lower standard resolutions then DVI, hence the plug change

Well i been using it for 5 days, it didn't reset the first 2 days, then i loaded it up the 3rd day and it started resetting randomly.

Yeah, no changes were made to the system.

changes were probably made, tuesday is patch day for just about everyone, not just wow, it's possible that something updated on your computer, you could try a system restore if the reset really bothers you, but otherwise i would just set your resolution and avoid shutting down very much till you can get a new monitor

Ah, actually i remember using CC cleaner, could this be the problem?
