But there's a reason for the ripping off.
It's specifically made to be as much like a refined version of DotA as possible. That includes everything--the whimsical Warcraft fantasy atmosphere, the character design, ability design, environment design... Everything. It's like that on purpose.

When it comes to "copying" and "ripping off" games, there is nothing wrong with it. If games are inspired by another game to add or change something that they see will benefit their game and their gaming community then let it be done. At the end of the day, it's most likely going to make the game better and get more people interested in playing their game.

A character who's family is decimated by an evil-doer dedicates their life to hunting evil? This story has been around long before Warcraft... and really isn't the story of Sylvanas anyway. Sylvanas is more the get revenge and turn just as evil story, same as Arthas.
For the comparison of DK T12 and Jarvan IV.....
I just don't see it.
Maybe.... if we....
Take the wings from the helm, put it on the gauntlets
Change the lower jaw of the helm completely
Add wings to the helm's "ears"
Add horns to the helm instead of spikes and remove the fin
Change the chest piece so that it comes to a point at the breastbone instead of smooth
Replace the shoulders with the paladin pvp shoulders with spikes on it
Yea, other than a change in color scheme as well, I guess they look similar in that they are both full plate.Ðoser of Illidan-----+-- [Thaddius] ++++++++

Death Knights nor Sylvannas are very original concepts.
You can easily relate them back to something else and see they pull from generic concept which already existed. Nothing wrong with taking inspiration; most things do.

Well, the new champion Wukong has a bladestorm, stealth, and clones, just like the WC3 blademaster....
But hell, that's why he's so awesome

Sylvanas is the last thing I thought about when I saw Vayne. Besides the pale skin, they have absolutely NOTHING in common. Maybe they copied the Demon Hunter from Diablo 3, but not WoW.

It was copied from Dota not WoW , WoW barely had any original ideas they take most of them from WC3 melee maps + Dota (and Dota isnt even made by Blizzard ...)

there were humans, dwarves, elves etc. in Lord of the rings - something that existed long before wow.
if anything, wow is ripping off things that came before it. everything rips off everything else. nothing is original anymore. it's all about the flavour of the month.
