[Anime] Looking for an anime I barely remember

So I'm looking for the name of an anime movie. Atleast I think it was anime, I honestly can't remember, been ages since I've seen it. I can't remember many details at all. They are a group traveling in space (I think, they're traveling regardless), they're wearing these tight armor suits and helmets. One of them has an opening in his helmet; a hole around the forehead. On his forehead he has something, I can't remember if it was a marking or a crystal. When he goes out of line and needs to be controlled, a woman in the group does something to that thing in his forehead so that he collapses in pain.

One of the destinations they travel to is some sort of crystal fortress, they smash their way through the crystals.

Oh yeah I just remembered, it is space. They have some sort of space craft.

Many thanks if you know the name of it and thanks to everyone who'll try, it was my all-time favorite movie when I was a kid. I only had a tape of it and it was *old*, the screen flickered often and eventually the tape broke completely and it wasn't possible to watch, I would love to see it again.

Posting it here too just to maximize my odds of finding out what it's called. And the movie is very old. I think I was around 5~6 when I watched it, that means I watched it in 98~99, and even then the tape itself was quite old.

I posted the above in the thread Sy's Anime List (along with all over 4chan (I'm desperate, m'kay?)) but thought I'd make a thread and post it in too. As I just mentioned, I'm desperate. I really want to watch that again; relive the childhood memory.

Edit: I got help on /b/ (of all places. lol). It's called Starzinger. I was off with the forehead thing, it was some metal thingy he had. Pic


From Wikipedia "Science Fiction Saiyuki Starzinger (SF西遊記スタージンガー Esu Efu Saiyūki Sutājingā^?) is an anime series aired in Japan from 1978 to 1979." That may be the reason I couldn't find it.

Hehe, no. Thanks though. It doesn't have anything to do with the common superheroes, I think it's of Asian origin (although the tape I had was dubbed in Swedish)
