    First PC build

HEy guys, I'm going to be purchasing a new PC within the next couple of months. Just looking for some feedback.

    http://secure.newegg.ca/WishList/Pub...umber=16637012

I'd like to keep it under the 900$ canadian mark, and I will be ordering the parts off of Newegg.ca. Thanks

It looks like you've done your research.

It's a very solid build but, is that PSU enough for your GPU?

    Try this out: http://educations.newegg.com/tool/psucalc/index.html

Go with a Corsair or Seasonic power supply. You may need more than 380W. I recommend you get 500W or more.

Upgrade the power supply to around 500w, especially if you plan on overclocking. (You're also gonna wanna look at an aftermarket CPU cooler if this is the case.)

Also, unless you really need 1.5 TB of space, get atleast a 7200 rpm HDD and drop the storage capacity if need be.

I'm not sure if you have an external optical drive/plan on salvaging one from an old PC, but you will need one to install Windows.

Other than that, it looks solid.

You will also need a DVD drive to install Windows.

Nvidia recommends a 450W PSU for a 460. I'd suggest getting a modular 500W PSU if you have the money, as that will ease up the build for you (less cables to worry about).

A good, non modular, PSU is the Corsair CX500: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...corsair%20500W

Indeed. You should look for a faster drive especially if it will be your boot drive. If you are on a strict budget, look at the Samsung Spinpoint F3 500Gb HDD. If you got a bit more money to spend, go for a 750Gb Western Caviar Blue. They are decent drives for their price.

THank you everyone, SOrry for the late replies, I was afk for a while. And I am going to just use the dvd drive that is in my current PC.
Would http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...82E16817189012 be a good modular PSU?

You definately need a better Power supply for those specs. I would recommend atleast 500w and over, but I would go for about 550w or 600w. Hope I helped.
