Does live streams affect PCU/RAM performance much?

    Hi.
As topic says, I am interested to start live streams for raiding and casual pvp by my rogue. I think I've got decent stuff but I want to know will the game start looks like slideshow or simillar things I will not enjoy.

Nope. Your internet will bottleneck your stream before your processor and RAM.

Your upload rate will be the biggest factor when streaming. 512kb/s (kilobit) to 1Mb/s (megabit) is a good starting point.

Yhm Ok. So when I've got 10 mbps internet and playing at ~50 ms latency how much latency can grow?

the only thing your internet connection will bottleneck is the quality of the stream in image quality and not fps.
your processor and/or GPU will limit how many frames you can broadcast in.

you can always try streaming to a site like xfire and see how it looks.

If you cap the upload rate to about 75-85% of your max upload rate you wont bottleneck your connection.

    It is me again.
Well I tried to broadcast livestream from xfire site (got xFire application for few months so don't ask do I have that installed).
I'm follow the instructions on site, pushing hotkey combination to perform broadcast.
Then I'm typing name and I have "Initialization broadcast" and then nothing happens. No red dot and nothing.
    Any idea what is happen?

Hmm after reading some FAQs it telling that works under Windows XP and Vista. I've got Win7 64bit. Does that means I am unable to broadcast?

I used to do it on XP myself with slow internet (512Kbps download, upload was slower still) and it was doable. However, i have not tried with Windows 7 namely because it said it didn't support it. however, if it was trying to connect, it probabbly can, you might have just been having an issue with the initial connection as i had that issue occasionaly aswell. give it a couple more shots.

Xfire is completely (brain)dead with DX11, might be the problem if you're running the game in DX11 mode instead of DX9.
Never going to log into this garbage forum again as long as calling obvious troll obvious troll is the easiest way to get banned.
    Trolling should be.

I've noticed that few days ago and changed back from DX11 to 9. Also via Tools-Options-Games I've checked that game is signed there as D3D9.

Mind also that the streaming service you use will limit you as well. If it is a free service, don't expect miracles. Most accept decent quality at around 480p, and mediocre quality at 720p.

I tested a few (free) services when I was using my friends high-speed line (100Mbit up/down) and the quality at 1080p video streaming at 1, 2 and 4Mb/sec was horrific. Fairly certain most streaming services limited me to around 600-800Kb/sec.

    Edit:
Currently I use Ustream. It's far from the best but it works just fine for the 4-10 people what occasionally watch me raid. It's free and usually has alright quality at 720p. For capture, I use VHScrCap and Adobes Flash Media Live Encoder 3.2 for "upload".
