It's always been our policy that if there's absolutely no discussion to be had in a thread or if it's a duplicate of another thread (both of which are the case in many QQ threads), they'll be closed. Simply report the thread and we'll take care of it.

If there's constructive discussion with the QQ (e.g., "I quit wow because of X, and I wish they could fix it by doing Y"), it's worth leaving open to discuss that option (provided there's no other thread discussing the same thing).

My question is:

Why cant they use the "Existing thread"

Example:

but nobody does anything about those. And it just completely makes it worthless to almost even check the general discus after these types of news post. The same will happen when SWTOR is released when GW2 is released when Tera is released ... Just lock them plz.

I really just dont get why people cant post there opinion in the already existing thread its not hard... click on the thread and post the things you want to say in the Quick reply box.

It's not a "Hottest topic" box. It's a "Most recent posts" box. It's therefore working as intended.

We close duplicates if we see them; reports help with that. If something's not closed despite reports, perhaps it's not quite a duplicate or perhaps someone hasn't gotten to it yet.

Depends on severity and the number of times they do it and so on; there's no one blanket answer.
