2.5 Reforging

Any items with both mastery rating and either crit or haste rating should NOT be reforged; they are perfect for feral dps already!

Mastery rating is our best reforgable stat, and you should reforge to it on every single item that doesn't have it yet. Hit and expertise are the best stats to reduce; try to reduce the stat that's biggest to get the most mastery out of it.

If there's already mastery rating on the item but no crit or haste rating, reforge the hit/expertise to crit or haste rating.

This ^ can't be right with 2T12.


But then we get this:
* With 2T12 setbonus, the other secondary stats pull ahead of mastery.
and this
* With 2T12 setbonus, haste will be the best secondary stat.

So, with 2T12, what are my reforge prio stats after agi > haste > ???

With 2T12 (assuming you still have your 2T11) haste and mastery are roughly equivalent. Due to the nature of the stats and how they benefit, it is generally better to go with mastery. The other stats won't pull ahead until you drop 2T11 for 4T12, but even then, those values are dependent on high boss uptime.

With a 100% boss time, 2T12/2T11 (which is probably more common than just plain 2T12) mastery>=haste>crit>hit/exp
4T12 haste>crit>hit/exp>mastery

As the boss time decreases, haste's value decreases and mastery's value increases. I am not certain about hit/exp but the personal value will increase on fights where you have downtime, to make sure that rip or rake goes off before you can't attack anymore.

If you only have 2T12, haste is theoretically best. 2T11 keeps mastery propped up.

Generally, you will not squeeze significant amount of DPS out of optimizing your reforges. However there are a few factors to consider.

1. Mastery is still quite strong until you lose the 2T11 bonus. It is good if you get to DOT up a few targets, but it is useless for Swipe Spamming
2. Capping Hit and Expertise is a good idea now, especially for Swipe Spamming.
3. Mew Simulations will tend to over-value Haste because it assumes a perfect player - Haste generally requires the most skill (and good latency) to reap its maximum benefit.
