Title pretty much says it all. Was wondering if a cat6 cord replaces a cat5 cord. Trying to hook up my ps3 to my router and I found a great deal on a cable but its a cat 6 cable.

It'll work the same. All cat cables (afaik) are backwards compatible.
i7 930 @ 4.0Ghz | Sapphire HD5970 w/ Accelero Xtreme | ASUS P6X58D Premium | 32GB Kingston DDR3-1600
Xonar Essence STX | 128GB Vertex 4 | AX750 | Xigmatek Elysium
Laing D5 | XSPC RX 360mm | Koolance RP-452X2 | EK-Supreme HF
Dell 3007WFP-HC | Samsung BX2350 | Das Keyboard Model S Ultimate | Razer Naga Molten | Sennheiser HD650
CAT6 will work just fine, the basic wiring and connector is identical. CAT6 however does have stricter demands on accepted levels of cross-talk and interference, which means they are more shielded than the CAT5 variants. This results in a somewhat stiffer cable.
