    Kingston HyperX 4gb x 2 1600

I am in need of picking up some ram for a build I am doing and Newegg has a sale this week instead of 75 bucks its 48 which I could pick up now. Anyone ever use Kingston HyperX and whats the HyperX do or is it just part of the name they gave it? I know kingston overall makes good memory just wondering what the difference is with the HyperX thing.

hyperx is just a brand line

keep in mind that ram is 1.65v and if you're doing a sandy bridge build the recommended voltage is 1.5v

That's just the name of the RAM (like G.Skill Ripjaws, or Corsair Dominator/Vengeance/etc)

~.o There's no reason to get flashy RAM. Go for something cheap from a good manufacturer and don't worry about badass headspreaders. There's no reason to get those anymore, especially since overclocking your RAM is generating less heat than previously.

As said above, G.SKILL Ripjaws X-Series.
