Is this card worth it or should I look at another?

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150512

I am wondering whether this video card is really worth getting. The specs on it are amazing and it would be a huge upgrade for me *have a 4000 series at the moment :P*. The only thing is, is the black edition really worth it? I know my system can handle it after I install the VGA air duct(Missing a 3 pin to power connector adapter), what do you guys think?

    Any suggestions?

Since you can find a 6870 cheaper/same price, not really; http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814141124 144.99 USD after MiR, or if you want an aftermarket cooler (you generally do) a http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102948 for 154.99 USD.

Those are awesome cards at awesome prices but I'm looking to stay in XFX for the life time warranty as I plan to hold onto this card and not upgrade for a good 3 maybe 4 years.

It's a bit midrange to last that long at high-ish settings.

And I'd personally go Sapphire above XFX. But hey, that's me.
Your choices seem good. Either way. Either better and pricier or more inexpensive and louder.

    Why not go with: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150521?

It'll run cooler/quieter than your other XFX choices, and is actually cheaper than the second card linked above. (After MIR)

I like it and from the reviews it seems to be a good card. I'll consider that one over the others I picked.
