    Is prime 96 safe?

I'm waiting for my new card to come in and then put it in, then after that I was going to plug prime 96 up and let it run for 2 hours.

Is this safe to do so? I don't want to fry anything.

It's 95, and the whole purpose of it is to poke at the weak spots of your system until something breaks or the weak spots hold.

There shouldn't be any permanent damage from stress test programs, only bluescreens and other assorted crashes as long as the overheat protections in components are working properly. But it is possible in theory that malfunctioning temperature sensor could permanently ruin the processor during Prime95, but so would also folding@home in that case and it's manufacturing defect you can get RMA'd.
Never going to log into this garbage forum again as long as calling obvious troll obvious troll is the easiest way to get banned.
    Trolling should be.
