[Megathread] Wildstar - Now F2P

This is not good. I built my new computer after I had filled out the survey and my old comp was a piece of crap. My new comp is much better, but I cannot put my specs into the beta invite anymore. I hope this doesn't preclude me from getting a beta invite. Guess I'll have to just wait and see.

Yeah, if your last invite said "no" for specs then make a new one and check "yes." As far as the survey, supposedly another one will be out before CBT3 which should start around June 19th. Also...

That said, there’s always a chance that your precious ore will grow legs and sprint off, or turn out to be a massive worm. Part of this randomness is because it’s apparently fun to be eaten by a giant ore monster and transported to a pocket dungeon where you have limited time to hack off as much ore as you can before it spits you out. The other part is because we’re told it’s tough to code a farming bot that can handle being eaten.

It's good to see they released the beta notes publically this time though. I hate NDA breakers, they always have to leak something, slowing down everything.

I have to laugh at the "female" robots having boobs and high heels. It's like Futurama.

I think I mostly agree with the concern that the female versions of the races have a singular body type that's clearly appealing to mostly guys. But in fairness regarding the Mechari, maybe the Eldan simply projected their taste for attractive females onto their creations? It's not like they're this naturally evolved race.

My bets on the ranged class since they already leaked it in their housing video. It was shown mining an ore node and we know its not an old class because we recently saw that you mine nodes with your weapon and the weapon from the video was some gun thing.

That would make a lot of sense, especially considering that the Granok have only one playable class for now and a "big gun" class seems appropriate for them (there is a Granok using some kind of machine-gun in the "What is Wildstar" video). Also the Mechari, which have only 2 playable classes, would most likely be able to choose this class too.

Wildstar has tab target and freeform targeting.
