Might give this game a try even though I'm tired of formulaic MMOS (level, rep, raid). Hopefully I will get at least a month of enjoyment out of it. Will keep an eye on it.
    I'm still thinking about it...

When I got my flying mount I would point myself toward tempest keep or something and just hit auto walk and come back in a few minutes or something. It really killed the "worldyness" of the game because all I did was bounce between the current raid, daily hubs, and shatar. Compared to vanilla, which just had FPs, I had to do a lot less walking around the world. I missed it. Players will always take the fastest route, sometimes it's best to force us into the slower route.
Then there was the world pvp issue. If a druid started to lose, he could just insta roots me and run for 8 seconds and then insta flight form. It should have had a 10 second cast time.
Well that is true. I mean I will always remember my first time going to ironforge on my nelf warrior (was my first toon ever) and how scary that was, because apparently I was a good bit too low a level to be doing it. But on the other hand I hated not being able to fly in the new expansion. I think for me they way I enjoy the game has just changed.

Small scale phasing by path would be the most logistically perfect solution.
Or, OR! They could make every jumping puzzle inside a cave where either flying mounts can't fit, or they are afraid of the dark

Haha, that never gets old! We should probably stop straying off to animal topics though, thread would never get back on track

Not a fan of stats "for PvP" myself. Would rather PvP be something people did just for fun with xp, rewards, and such, coming from PvE. I love PvP, but when you add rewards to it? It can become just as grindy as PvE.

Well I was just going by that interview and they said world pvp wasn't really a focus on them and they don't have anything like RvR. So it seems from that that the focus is on battlegrounds/arena style pvp.

I like Battlegrounds so I have no problem with that.

    Where'd you get that?

I did not know dungeons will have three modes in Wildstar, that looks awesome.

Hoping they go Rift's route with extra bosses in harder modes. Loved that.

Haven't seen any info, but I sure hope the raids are distinct for 20 and 40 person groups. I greatly dislike multi mode raiding.

They'd almost HAVE to. I'm really worried for the 40 man raids, because it seems like there's gonna have to be so many things that have to go perfect for them to work well. If they split 20/40 man raids (a la Vanilla WoW) it'd at least give reason for "hardcores" to go do them. If it's the same raids, I doubt there will be many 40 man groups, and that development time will be wasted.

raids are totally separate from each other and only have one difficulty. Raids also dont follow the main story.

Apparently the internet at Carbine is down so we may not be getting a W*W today.
