I keep hearing this too and I also see people saying that you can get 140 gems just from EP, but I had my EP at 60% cap last week and I only have @ 70 gems. This is from doing dailies for 3 days which also yields a gem per daily...soo....none of this is adding up to me. I don't see how it's possible that you can get 140 gems just from EP when I have more than half EP, at least 30-40 gems from just dailies, which means that the gem cap the game is telling me is closer to half what they are stating. I just don't get it.

I don't know the exhaustive list but a few ways which I know off the top of my head are Boom boxes, dailies, events in the max level zones... and now I forgot the fourth thing. Can't double check on the forums atm because they are down for maintenance

Or you could try to kill tougher mobs that reward a higher percentage?

I find most the quests that have a reward a low percentage usually are the mobs that are also used in other quests or challenges. I have only found one that isn't and it is still sitting in my quest log.

I quit WoW over the whole no flying in current content come WoD, and have been enjoying Wildstar very much.

So far I have reached level 41 and I am really enjoying the game. They have accomplished so much with this launch and done so much right compared to other MMOs. I understand the game isn't for everyone though. Some people like the stagnant tab target system so they can watch netflix or something while they play = )

so far my only complaint isn't a problem with the game per say. I have been trying to find a website that lists where all the work order boards are for the crafting dailies. If I would have know that they were repeatable and that you needed the rewards earned from them to further your crafting I would have made note of where they were.

the tedious questing has really dampened my play time, not sure if I'll make it to max level. Still, there are some things I really like. Not sure if that is enough for me to continue the sub though.

Protip: use gate when mobs are casting a telegraph skill and blow them during the "moment of opportunity" window, with the right skill timing i can destroy "strong" mobs in mere seconds...

I must discover this "moment of opportunity".

So essentially people are saying that the raiders from this week got their 10 EG from dailies before the reset last Monday. This means they all likely played 24/7 as soon as early release was up to hit level cap by Monday and then do one round of dailies. I still don't see how you get 140 EG from EP alone, because my experience doesn't confirm that. Also, there are several posts on the the forums complaining that attunement no longer works retroactively, which it did initially. Essentially the guilds that rushed got an easy pass through the attunement process and now the rest of us will be artificially limited by the restrictions Carbine are putting in place. If this is true, I am not amused.

This seems to be a trend unfortunately. My friends who were the most excited about Wildstar have been logging in less and less lately. Me on the other hand who only got hyped relatively close to release have a lvl47 engineer. Go figure lol.

I find that there are tons of quests (at least in the 40+ range) that require 20+ interactions whether they be kill or interact with object objectives. It's really annoying and gets worse as more people are in the zone.

I spend days dedicated towards trash-talking WoW.

Actually, more like Blizzard. I love WoW as a property and Warcraft as a franchise. I just think Blizzard has squandered their gifts and turned an amazing product into a treadmill of mediocrity simply to gain more than the already enormous and soul-crashing quantity of money they currently make. Their insatiable greed and inability to actually, y'know, PRODUCE, has become a real problem.

Perhaps a lot of people feel similarly, hence all the hate? :3

That's why I hope games like Wildstar actually manage to do well. Even if I end up being disenchanted with it ultimately.

How does that 'moment of opportunity' thing where the mob goes purple and your damage is doubled actually work? Sometimes i use arcane shock and it works sometimes it doesn't no matter if i use it when they are casting or not >.<

Arcane shock doesn't work for every spell, and only works if it's applied before the mob has actually cast. You have to predict when they're about to cast and use it a few seconds beforehand. Gate is going to be your primary MOO creator as a SS though.

What do you mean by attunements don't work retroactively? I think I might have missed something there.

Stun then while they are casting something and their healthbar will go purple and that is a moment of opportunity (MOO).

Nope, just the forum warriors on MMO Champion. Most people just log into the game and, you know, play it. There's plenty to do and keep them entertained. Not everyone plays the game 8 hours a day and has 20k achievements.

But hey, if 'spending days' hating on something gives you joy, have fun! Keep up the positive lifestyle.

Since when did 'I had to spend a week doing something I didn't enjoy to get to the content that I do enjoy' become the definition of 'a grind'?

Wow and wildstar are the only mmos where things have felt 'smooth' to me, why is that? 0o

Many other MMOs have a disconnect between their character models and the environment. I always feel 'floaty' whenever I play GW2 or LotRO.
