Greetings! I'll be up front and admit that I'm not a big fan of copy pasting, but it really seems to be the easiest way to give you all of the information you'll need in learning about our guild. You look like you would be a great addition to our roster, so here is a cordial invitation to read up on us and if you like what you see, throw in an application on our website. We are an eastern time zone guild located on Duskwood-PvE. We raid from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Sunday.

Are you a Self sufficient-Motivated-Alert-Reliable-Talented raider?

Do you consider yourself an extremely skilled and dedicated player, but don't want to commit to a hardcore raiding schedule?

If your answer is Yes, then Shai Hulud is the guild for you.

<Shai Hulud> is a long standing established guild on Duskwood, having our roots in the begining of TBC and getting KJ down before the start of WoTLK. We have been progressing strong ever since.

We don't play much, but when we do, we play to the absolute best of our abilities. We only have a 12 hour raid week, but we make those hours count. You are expected to be able to take constructive criticism. If you are defensive about everything and anything you might not be the right fit.

Currently we are working towards Firelands Heroic encounters. As a member of Shai Hulud you are expected to keep a competitive edge. Our target audience is players that have excellent situational awareness, do not complain when the wipes pile up when learning an encounter and who will go that extra mile to maximize their characters.


What we expect of you:

Knowledge: We're looking for players who stay up to date on not only all of their class changes and mechanics, but also the mechanics of raid encounters, other classes, and the game in general. Know the fights. Know how to min/max. Know how you should spec and gear for specific encounters. Know how to effectively play your offspec.

Dedication: Can you make our raid times? Are you prepared to give 100% into learning an encounter until we get it down or the raid is called? If your answer is no this isn't the guild for you. We do wipe, and it isn't always pretty, but we expect you to run back quickly and be ready to correct your mistakes.

Experience: If you don't have at least a little bit of hard mode experience, don't expect a warm reception. Ulduar or ICC, something to show you've raided encounters above the normal level. Experience in pre-nerf Sunwell or Old Naxxramas is a big plus.

Skill: Impress us. Show that you can consistently top the meter. Show that you rarely make mistakes. Show us that you know how to min/max. Mediocre raiders are a dime a dozen. We're looking for the exceptional raiders.

Keep in mind that this is only a guideline, and all exceptional applicants are considered, so even if you aren't on this list and you think you have what it takes, stop by our website and drop off an application.

Tuesday: 8:00 pm - 12:00 am
Wednesday: 8:00 pm - 12:00 am
Sunday: 8:00 pm - 12:00 am

Be online early, raid invites typically go out 15 minutes prior to the raid starting.

We put a strong emphasis on our guild community, we do allow friends/family of members to join the guild. While we do place a very high premium on friendship and fun, we also give it our all when we raid. So when your ready to see what heroic end-game has to offer and free up some time for real life, drop us an application.

We maintain a top US 50 ranking while raiding four days a week and have currently cleared Firelands (6/7 H25) and are (13/13 H25) BoT/TotFW/BwD, finishing with US 34. We also have an active rated bg group with several Grand Marshals. We raid Monday - Thursday, 7 - 11PM PST. If you're a pro and can be a real beast when it comes to DPS then don't hesitate to apply. Our guild is very stable and has been around for over 4 years under the same leadership.

Flavour Country runs the following raid schedule:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 8pm - 12pm (CST)
During times when Flavour Country has all the current content on farm, the raid week may be shortened.

<Flavour Country> on Cho’Gall seeks outstanding applicants to complement our raid roster for Firelands. We are currently at 6/7 Heroic in 25-man content and US Top 40 in 25-man content. We take a quality over quantity approach to the time we spend raiding. Flavour Country has been progression raiding since Burning Crusade where we garnered several world-100 kills. We try to maintain a roster of 30-32 players, but we do not recruit for the bench. As a raider in Flavour Country, you can expect to see as much raiding time as any other player.

As a raider, here's what you can expect from the guild:
• A mature, friendly guild atmosphere at all times composed of fellow raiders who desire in-game success as well as a strong guild community.
• Classy but not uptight behavior from all players, during both our free time and our official raids.
• Leadership that will work hard to improve the quality of the raid through theorycrafting, addressing weak points, recruiting, and general administration in a timely, efficient, and transparent manner.
• Stability in a drama-free environment
• The opportunity to provide comments, concerns, and suggestions about how the guild or the raid can improve (raid composition, recruit advice, encounter strategies, etc.).
