Anyways, OT - now, my hunter will be changed into a male pandaren soon'ish, so anyone with any good ideas of a kinda Shado-Pan ranger look?

How about something like this? Kinda boring, but I guess Shado-Pan won't wear anything too flashy.

Made it for a fem Pandaren, but doesn't look too bad on males either. Just partly squished and horribly, horribly stretched. The tabard won't fit color wise, though.

There'd be this one, provided you haven't done this quest already, or a few bows with the same colour and model like that one. Their droprate seems to be rather low, though. Maybe you'll be lucky and find one of them in the AH.

Maybe try this kilt instead? It doesn't match perfectly, but the blue and gold is pretty close to the hood and chestpiece.

I'm still looking for some improvements. The red color of the pants and the chest don't match well for example. And like said before i am still trying to get that Astral Light Bow-like bow. I prefer Advanced Flatbow cause of the brown. Not that my current bow is bad, but i like the Flatbow more.

cool thanks! the kilt was the bit i was most unhappy with :P hard to find a blue kilt that fit with it, in game the current kilt wasn't so obviously a different colour.

My hunter is currently using the shaman set from Cata. I felt the wolf shoulders fit perfectly. I tried to hunt down some pieces that were more of bones, fur/felt like. But had no luck. Then Wowhead had the "no skirt" version of the shaman set. All's I needed was some legs from a LWer and all was complete. The back piece was the only piece I found that would remotely match the set. And yes, my pet must match me. LOL I swap around any white beasts for my hunter. Not sure why, but white seems to complete this set most for me. Maybe because it stands out nicely with the set. My spirit leopard(PuddyTat) and Lashara are my current DPS pets to swap around.

That set looks great man, especially on a tauren! The only thing jumping out at me is the gloves, but just a little bit. The dark gray and hints of red kind of clash with the rest of the gear a bit. Are there others that you've considered?

Got the greens from quests around Townlong Steps, and the bow is from Mogushan Vaults, i dunno, the kilt just looks cool on the panda hunter to me

basically given up trying to make a decent dark ranger set, i don't think theres any black mail hoods in the game

The only 2 that are close to be a black mail, Storm Helm and Ironspine Helm
