On the cosmetic armour front, I'm really hoping they release a pair of invisible shoulders as well. Sometimes the massive pauldrons work for the look I'm trying to build, but it feels like all the small, nondescript ones just don't have high enough quality artwork to fit in with Cata and MoP pieces.

Hey guys, I'm looking for some help with a Transmog set I'm trying to set up. Its within the theme of the Scarlet Crusade, i play a Blood Elf Paladin and obviously the Scarlet Set is Chain (Which i seriously think should change, why cant paladins transmog the scarlet set?) so i have to carry these items around in my bag, but i have the space so its ok for now, I'm just looking for some plate armor that will exemplify and compliment what I'm trying to achieve with my look.

I like where you're headed with this idea. You might want to look at the red recoloring of paladin T1 in the TBC dungeons. There's also a cheap set that you can buy from the Justice Vendor in Shattrath that has a black/red model. I believe it's the fire resist gear but I can't remember what it's called.

Not a fan of the tabard or the shield. I don't think they match the red look.

Thanks for the reply dude, i will check out the T1 set your talking about and i know of the fire resist gear from the NPC in Shattrath but none of it really fits in well with what im looking for.

The original Scarlet Set is Mail ofc so its not really a transmog per-se, do you have any suggestions for the shoulders, legs and chest?

I actually really like my Sword and Board in those pics, Royal Crest of Lordaeron & Red Sword of Courage btw

But i do have Skullflame Shield & Blade of Wizardry in my bank, still BOE lol

i also have Blood Knight Tabard in the bank too, which may look better i just like the way Tabard of Summer colors with the rest of the set.

There was a Scarlet Crusade inspired set IIRC somewhere early on in this thread. If you have a free moment, I would start scrolling around to see if you can find it.

As for my suggestions:
Shoulders: Bloodforged set, Hyperion set
Chest: Thorium Armor, Gilded Crimson Chestplate (but if you wear a tabard, shouldn't be a big deal)
Legs: Thorium Legplates, Darkcrest Legguards

It's difficult for me to tell without seeing it in-game, but those are some you can look into. A good reference tool:

Yeah the majority of this set is Mail, which as a Plate wearing Paladin, sucks because i have to keep the slots free in my bag for the set, i have the room but Blizz should really make an exception with this set regarding Transmog, it makes no sense that as a paladin i cant Transmo my way into the Scarlet Crusade!!!

Aren't those sets class spesific? You get this item, then another item that you "fuse" it with and recieve a 476 ilvl item you need? Thats how I understood it :P Oh and the items got like 1% drop chance..

I still have the buff, despite losing the quest. Fun fact, you gain a sign when you faction change.
