I believe the 1000 gold thing is for UNLOCKING the service, not for every withdraw

I kinda hope the void storage is linked to the mogging UI so that you can select any item in storage as an option for mogging, rather than having to withdraw and redeposit an item every time you want to change to it.

Judging by these screenshots it's 100g per item for withdrawing and depositing

inb4 the 1,000g fee gets changed to 10g like dual spec did.

I actually went into comments to comment on that. I found that funny. It took 6 years for Blizzard to think of something like this (bagsearch), while Rift had it at launch.

I saw my gf play Rift, and i have to say, im slightly impressed over it, not quite my cup of tea. BUT, Rift had so many small details that annoy a living fuck out of you in WoW. It's like as if Rift was made by some players that played WoW for years on end, got tired of bullshit, and made their own game filtrating all the annoying stuff from WoW

Bag search....maybe a little too late for that Blizzard : / and as far as Void storage goes....pointless, the end.

It's not exactly pointless, but it should've been there from day 1, and not after people have destroyed their sets cos they didnt have space.

You cannot. This would amount to cross-server heirlooms, which is not a feature in the game right now and won't be in for the foreseeable future. If you put stuff in your bank, only that character can access the contents (from what I understand).

Personally I like the idea, it seems decent, I have nothing against it. Although when they said that it would be a place where we can 'safely' store items, that sounds really weird. Isn't my bank a safe place to be storing my gear?

The only problem here I can think of are the prices. 1k to unlock it? And if what some people are saying is true about 100g per item, that does seem very overboard. Sure, 100g is easy to come across and for a lot of people 1k is nothing at all for a one-time payment, but not for everyone. Plus I want to know WHY we have to pay to store items in the void storage, when I could just stick them in my bank for free. If we have to pay to withdraw and deposit all our items, I'll probably end up using it just to keep my heirlooms together in one place when they're not being used by characters, considering you'll take them out to level a character, which will be a while, and then deposit them again when you're done leveling, so you're not paying to withdraw/deposit all the time. Although looking at the price of dual-spec these days, I wouldn't say such a hefty price will last long.

I think it's a little late in coming. It's hemorrhaging subscribers and now they find the time to do this?

  15. #155
Why does Blizzard always make the mistake of taking something potentially fun and immediately make it less fun but attaching an unnecessary cost to it?

  16. #156
With the tanking changes and now this -greedy money grabbing -I am really beginning to lose faith in Blizz! I'm no casual, but this is tantamount to robbery! I would understand if it were 100g per transaction, but not per item... fail Blizz.

It's early and changes will come. People always QQ when something is announced. Threatening with unsubbing and all that. QQ over stuff thats live instead of something in development. These are just example screens. The text does not give you the exact prices afaik.

Omg, the whine.I know that a new feature has to be complained about, or in other words, demolished to pieces before it's done."I'll never never ever use this feature" - well, congratulations, we could not care less. What do you want to earn, a medal?"Poorly executed" - Personal opinion. In fact, it's not. Everyone have dumploads of gold, those of which having saved it, and therefore this is good. Don't be, i don't know, all money grinding and such.My point is, quit all the complaining, and come with constructive ideas instead. You asked for more free space, got it for a fee, yes, but fees adds up in the real life too. nothing is free. and more to the point, why should it be? The prices are eventually going to be lowered, i'm sure, and if not, the peeps who uses it will probably have the money needed. There is no problem. And another thing, do not create rifts in WoW, as i saw some mention it. At that point, i'll indeed think of quit wow because.. yeah well, i hate being forced to battle with rifts in the middle of a quest. Like the elemental invasion - forcing people to do it, what? That was just... gaaarwhh i do not want to mention it, i logged out each time. Please, never ever do that again. Make some optional events instead, and keep this game WoW. There is a reason, that Rift's subbase haven't been growing an awful lot, simply because the only neat thing is the graphics. Even that gets burned in the end.WoW and SW:TOR. Well, hopefully SW:TOR (please don't ruin it).

I'm sort of surprised that so many people are complaining about the cost of it when all we have to go by at in-development screenshots.

I'm betting they're placeholder numbers and each piece won't cost more then their vendoring price to transfer.

I really like the view at the end of the guild short movie ;p !
