    Mainboard Speaker randomly beeping

For no appearant reason my mainboard speaker randomly starts beeping like twice a week. It seems to be completely random, one time when I kept the PC running over night it actually woke me up. I've checked all the fans and temperatures and everything seems to be fine, so I have no idea where this is coming from. Also when it starts beeping it just doesn't stop anymore, no matter what I do. Even if I restart the PC it continues to make this sound. I have to completely shut down the PC and turn it back on again, only then the noise disappears. Board is a Gigabyte GA-870A-UD3. Any ideas what's going on?

Sounds like a fan/thermal warning perhaps. Disable health monitoring in the bios to see if it is the cause. If it no longer beeps you at least know the cause. One of your fans may be running slower than the warning threshold, and the alarm may not be resetting after it goes off.
