WHO ARE WE?
PROGRESS: 5/7 Hc.
We are the best late night guild (raid times past 23:00) in the World and therefore expect any application to be solid.
Currently we raid 10 mans only with a progress of 5/7 Hc. Our setup consists of two raiding teams (a farm team and a progress team) where the farm teams objective is to simply get all the farm content down by the end of the week, while the progress team focuses on progression, even to the extent of sacrificing farm bosses. The groups are determined at the start of each raid week (Wednesday) and are based on the performance of players during the previous week (so a there are no "fixed" raid spots, it is purely up to YOU if you want a progression raid spot).
WHAT ARE OUR OBJECTIVES?
Our goal is to maintain our leadership as the best late night guild in the world and push our world rank even higher (we're aiming for top 100 by the next tier).
WHAT MAKES US THINK WE CAN ACHIEVE THIS?
We are a newly formed guild (formed in the end of January 2011) and when we started raiding we blasted up from world rank 32630 to our current World rank 280 (Server 86th to server FIRST). But we have been around since TBC. Latenight has existed on Runetotem as a "PuG" channel, where the best players of the realm where invited, so that they could do some quality raiding on their alts, and not the usually omg Shade of Aran noob wipes the raid.
We were quite successful, and managed to get BT farm runs going. Then came the massive pain in the azz SWP and people were too occupied with their guild raids and the founder of the Latenight channel DENOOBIS took a break from wow and we closed down. But with ICC's epic farmability we opened back up and we realized that this was going quite well, so with cata we decided to form a guild. So with a guild of alts we facerolled our way to server 7th and then we buckled down and became serious, bringing us to our current rank: server 1st.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
BRAINS. I know it is a cliché, however we look for decent players, before we look for any particular class, because since we are a 10 man guild, we do require you not only to be able to play your class at a competitive level, but we also require you to be able to learn and play any off spec at a similar level too. As well as, being able to learn fights fast.
I'll give a practical example, you can have the highest DPS or HPS in the raid, but if we have to wipe 4 times before you figure out that pink shiny stuff on Nefarian is bad to stand in, then YOU ARE NOT going to be very successful with us. We expect people to commit a mistake once, learn from it and not repeat that same mistake again.
FAST LEARNING is the quality we value the most in players, so do not be afraid to apply even if your experience isn't great, or your gear is crap. As long as you as a player are good, then WE WANT YOU.
We also require you to be able to give feed back during progress fights, and YOU have to point out, if you think there is a flaw in the tactics, which makes the fight obscenely harder for YOU. DO NOT EXPECT someone else to point out that the tactic makes it harder for you, because all what we will see is you wiping us constantly. So we want players that can give CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK and are not afraid of speaking up for themselves during progression nights.
WHAT CAN WE OFFER YOU.
9 other players like yourself. We are all players that accept mistakes, but hate wiping because the same person keeps wiping the raid because of the same stupid mechanic. So with us you will find a stimulating progression environment and players that are motivated to push their limits and that of their characters.
You will also find a friendly outside raid times and during farm bosses (bare in mind that due to our raiding schedule we are all 20+, so expect obscenely childish jokes and making fun of the noob that died in the fire). So if you don't like being made fun of for your mistakes during fights, then we probably aren't the raiding environment you are looking for.
However we take progress raids seriously, and expect people to focus 100% during progress nights. The occasional harassment of the noob who died is accepted while we run back after a wipe, but not during the tactics nor the progress fights.

Raiding time: WE REQUIRE A 4/5 attendance MIN. if you want to become a progress raider. 00:00 - 03:00 CET (Server time) Sunday - Thursday.
LOOT: Loot council. The assignment of loot is based on 3 criteria:
a) Attendance
b) Item value for your class (BiS)
c) Role (Tanks > Healers >= DPS)
d) Performance.

If you are the guy in your guild that always goes "why the **** are we wiping again because of that retarded mechanic?? How can he not understand how to do it??" Then you are exactly the same as we were when we decided to create this guild.
