    Help finding ram!

Hello all. I recently purchased :

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820144151

But there was an issue with the ram whenever I tried to install it. The middle notch is off by a tad... Not sure what to do

if the notch is off then you bought wrong type of ram, if you have semi-new computer you'll need ddr 3 ram, not ddr2. Check your motherboard specifications to make sure.

Go look up your motherboard, and find out what kind of RAM it takes.

You seriously should've done this in the first place.

I got a feeling the motherboard of yours doesn't support DDR2. Which board do you have?

The computer itself is from 2004. I dont think it is ddr3

Oh. I think it's just regular DDR ram now that I see that image.

DDR2 ram started to be really better than DDR around 2004. It might be too new!
