    GPU temperature?

I started noticing my screen on wow was flashing with artifacts all the time so I checked the temperature of my graphics card.

the gpu load aswell keeps spiking to 99% and back down to like 70.

it was at 75°C now im not sure on what the heat should be on graphics cards but does this sound too high?

and could it be the cause of my problem?

75 is absolutely fine at load.. Anything up to 90 is usually okay, and usually around 95 or 100 the card will throttle itself to cool down.

What GPU do you have? For any modern card, the max temp is somewhere around 100C, meaning that anything below 90 is considered "fine".

Artifacts usually mean that the card is about to die (especially if it's constantly getting worse). Check your warranty and see if you can still RMA it.

GPUs run a bit warmer than CPUs.

Right now, with an ambient temperature of ~27 degrees Celsius, my GPU is running at ~ 63 degrees Celsius. My CPU is running at ~ 38 degrees Celsius.
This is in an HAF case that hasn't been cleaned in about six months. Both are idle. GPU is a 5850HD. CPU is a 1090T.

I couldn't find anything on the G210, but as far as the G210M goes, the max temperature shouldn't go above 80c (don't quote me on this as the source wasn't reliable enough). In either case, it seems likely that your card is indeed becoming old and dying.

Edit: Also, I find it hilarious that they have as a recommended PSU 300W when that card pulls ~22W at max load.

As long as you stay below 90 its just fine. Once you get past 90 degrees you will start to have issues with performance (at least from what I experienced myself). this is of course when the card have to work and not just show your desktop :P

Edit: My apologies. Finally found the card on Nvidias website (I should learn to search better) and they list the max temperature as 105C. Something tells me that you should take that with a grain of salt, but still. 105C it is.

Your GPU idling at 63c is a cause of concern o_O

my 480 (worst card ever made) idles at mid 40s, my old 5870 (previous shocking card to ever be made) idled @ 60's, and would over heat and auto turn of pc after 5mins of a high GPU demanding game.
    63 idle is too high.

Looking for a casual weekend raiding guild - pref AU times for working people><
