    video card upgrade advice

i have an acer ax1200-b1601a it was given to me several years ago and has server me well until now.
lately any game i look into 90% of the time my video card fails the min system requirement.
i don't have much to spend or i would just buy a whole new computer i just need something that will work until i can get enough for a new one.

so i come here that i might find some assistance.

What is your budget, more precisely?
Because if you want to add a graphics-card to that (assuming it would even fit the motherboard, which is likely it won't), you will have to buy a power supply as well, since your 220w PSU won't be cutting it.

both under 100 you might get bottlenecked by the 460
He won't be able to run either without a new PSU.

Is the case large enough to fit any PSU other than the standard one? It looks kinda small to me.

it is pretty small i dont think there would be room to swap out the psu for a higher watt one and i was looking in the under $100 range it is a low profile system as well so i know that limits choices more

This will prob be as best as it gets for a low profile card without the need to be powered by your psu.

It's still a PCI-E card, which means it pulls (up to) 75w from the motherboard, which in turn gets its power from the PSU.

Quick search shows that the card pulls 50w. I wouldn't worry about putting it in there.

another question, same topic. is it even worth it or should i just wait and save up for a whole new computer?

something else i noticed is that the card you suggest says it requires Minimum 300W or greater system power supply (with a minimum 12V current rating of 22A) taken from the details section.
